INDUSTRIAL OIL COMPOSITION
An industrial oil composition contains a mineral or a synthetic oil as a base oil, and a neutral phosphite ester derivative represented by the following formula (B) and a 2,6-di-t-butylphenol derivative represented by the following formula (C) as antioxidants. In the formula (B), R.sup.b21 to R.sup.b24 each independently represent an aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 10 to 16 carbon atoms. In the formula (C), R.sup.c1 represents a straight-chain or a branched alkyl group of 1 to 12 carbon atoms.

Plunger lubricant for die casting and method of applying the same
A plunger lubricant for die casting includes a component (a), a component (b), a component (c), and water. The component (a) is one or two or more compounds selected from among mineral oils, synthetic hydrocarbons, and fatty acid esters. The component (b) is one or two or more compounds selected from among alkali metal salts of higher fatty acids or alkali metal salts of aliphatic hydroxy acids. The component (c) is an alkali metal salt of an oxoacid or polyoxoacid that is able to be dehydrated and condensed.
Metal-working fluid compositions and methods for making
The disclosure relates to a biobased metal-working fluid (MWF) composition and method for making same, and more particularly metal-working fluid with biobased lubricants with improved emulsion stability. At least 50 wt. % of the base oil component in the MWF concentrate is a plant-derived liquid decarboxylated rosin acid oil (“DCR”). The DCR comprises 50 to 100 wt. % of tricyclic compounds having 18-20 carbon atoms, one or more C═C groups, and m/z (mass/charge) value of 220-280; an oxygen content of <5%; a density of 0.9 to 1.0 g/cm.sup.3 at 20° C.; and an acid value of <10 mg KOH/g. The resulting MWF is characterized as having comparable if not better performance compared to a MWF containing only mineral oil (e.g., Group I or Group II).
METAL WORKING FLUID DECONTAMINATION APPARATUS
Metal working fluid decontamination apparatus (10) includes: an intake arrangement (40) for metal working fluid (42); a pump (16) for providing, in use, flow pressure to the metal working fluid (42); a decontaminator (50) for reducing contamination in the metal working fluid (42); and an outlet arrangement (34) for the metal working fluid. The metal working fluid (42) is a fully synthetic metal working fluid, which comprises water and a water soluble synthetic concentrate which does not comprise oil.
Lubricant and method for manufacturing magnesium alloy tubes
A lubricant includes at least 45 wt % paraffin oil, less than 8 wt % of a pyrophosphate or triphosphate, more than 6 wt % of a group 6 disulfide or diselenide and up to 27.5 wt % of graphite. The lubricant is used in a method for producing a magnesium alloy tube via extrusion, and is especially useful to form implants such as stents while maintaining the biocompatibility of the magnesium alloy.

Described herein is a stabilized lubricant composition for use in steel casting, in particular in continuous casting processes. In particular, the lubricant composition for processes for producing steel by continuous casting includes a dispersion of a lubricant powder, for an ingot mold, in continuous casting, in an oily liquid means, and a stabilization additive, characterized in that it has the following shear thinning index values: TABLE-US-00001 RVT 0.1/1 1/10 10/100 100/1000 STI 3.0-7.5 2.0-6.5 1.0-3.0 0.5-2.0 wherein RVT is the ratio between two different shear speeds and STI is the shear thinning index corresponding to the RVT values.
Compositions for use as lubricants in die casting, methods of using the same, and products produced therewith
Lubricant compositions and methods of producing die-cast products by applying such a lubricant composition to a working surface of a die prior to casting a product from a molten metal injected into the die. The composition serves as lubricant between the die and resulting product, and contains at least one active component that reacts with an oxide of the metal to remove a layer of the oxide that forms on a surface of the melt during the die casting process.

The water is loaded with organic substances and inorganic particles. In a further aspect, the use of bacteria for eliminating legionellae from a water of a cooling circuit of an industrial plant is disclosed.
