Method for separating a cooling lubricant agent from a bearing lubricant
The present invention relates to a method for reconditioning bearing lubricants that can be used in equipment for metal working, in which cooling lubricant that can be used in equipment for metal working is separated from the bearing lubricant. In addition the invention relates to a bearing lubricant for use in the method according to the invention.
BORON-FREE WATER-BASED LUBRICANT FOR PLASTIC WORKING
The present disclosure is directed to an aqueous lubricating composition comprising, based on the weight of the composition: from 1 to 20 wt. % of a) at least one water-soluble inorganic salt, said inorganic salt or salts being in a dissolved state; b) at least one particulate solid lubricant; from 0.1 to 5 wt. % of c) at least one rheological control agent; from 0.1 to 5 wt. % of d) at least one base; and, from 0.1 to 5 wt. % of e) at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants and zwitterionic surfactants, wherein said composition is free from boron and boron compounds and is further characterized in that the ratio by weight of b) said at least one solid lubricant to a) said at least one water-soluble inorganic salt [(b):(a)] is from 0.1:1 to 1:1.
Use of a sulphate, and method for producing a steel component by forming in a forming machine
Coating materials with minimized lubricant demand enable optimized tribological conditions in forming flat steel products and are also unobjectionable in relation to their effects on the environment. With such coating materials, steel components can be produced by forming flat steel products in forming machines. For example, a tribologically-active layer may be produced on at least one surface of a flat steel product or a forming machine used to form the flat steel product, wherein the at least one surface comes into contact with the opposing component during forming. The tribologically-active layer may be formed by coating the at least one surface with a coating material from a group consisting of aluminum sulfate, ammonium sulfate, iron sulfate, and magnesium sulfate. The flat steel product may be inserted into the forming machine to be formed into the steel component.
POWDER LUBRICANT BASED ON FATTY ACIDS AND FATTY ACID GLYCERIDES AND USE THEREOF
A dry lubricant composition in powder form is provided based on a mixture of alkali metal salts of fatty acids and fatty acid glycerides which is useful in the production of aluminium cans in a deep drawing process, wherein the formed aluminium cans are immediately further processed to yield thin inorganic and/or organic protective coatings. The invention also encompasses the use of the lubricating powder for cold forming of aluminium as well as a process for the deep drawing of aluminium cans.
Cooling lubricant for cold rolling aluminum
Described is a cooling lubricant for cold rolling aluminum, which includes a mineral oil-based or synthetic base oil and a polyalkylene glycol or a compound with a polyalkylene oxide structure. Further, the cooling lubricant is not water-soluble or miscible with water, and the cooling lubricant is substantially free of fatty acids and fatty alcohols.
Small particle size oil in water lubricant fluid
An oil in water lubricant fluid for use in steel cold rolling, comprising an oil in water emulsion having a particle size of 1 m or less, consisting of an oil phase and water, where the oil phase includes about 5 wt % to about 40 wt % of at least one polymeric surfactant, about 25 wt % to about 95 wt % base oil, about 0.2 wt % to about 10 wt % extreme pressure lubrication additives, and about 0.5 wt % to about 6 wt % other functional additives.
LUBRICANT FOR METAL COLD FORMING PROCESSES AND METHODS OF USE OF THE SAME
Disclosed is a lubricant for use in cold forming of a metal. The lubricant comprises a mixture of at least one lubricating compound and at least one starch. The starch adheres the lubricating compound to the metal surface. The present lubricant completely removes the need to pre-coat the metal with a zinc phosphate coating to adhere the lubricating compound to the metal. The present lubricant eliminates several steps required in processes that utilize zinc phosphate pre-coatings. In addition, the lubricant of the present invention is easily removed after the cold forming operations unlike zinc phosphate coatings.
Use of polyalkoxylates in lubricant compositions
Provided are polyalkoxylates that are prepared by alkoxylating polytetrahydrofurane with butylene oxide for use in lubricant compositions and/or for reducing friction in a driveline.
Dry film lubricant composition
A dry film lubricant composition includes: an anionic wax emulsion including carnauba wax and an anionic surfactant; water; a thickener; an organic solvent; a fluorosurfactant; a phosphate additive; and an alkaline agent.
