LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
The invention addresses a problem of providing a lubricating oil composition for gas engines capable of suppressing viscosity increase while reducing a sulfated ash content and excellent in high-temperature detergency and base number retention. The lubricating oil composition is used for gas engines and contains a base oil (A), at least one ash-free additive (B) selected from an ash-free sulfur-based antioxidant (B1) and a hindered amine compound (B2), and a boronated imide-type dispersant (C), and satisfies the following requirements (X1) to (X3): Requirement (X1): the sulfated ash content is 0.2% by mass or less. Requirement (X2): the content of the ash-free additive (B) is 1.2% by mass or less based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, provided that in the case where the ash-free additive (B) contains the hindered amine compound (B2), the content of the hindered amine compound (B2) is less than 1.0% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition. Requirement (X3): the content of the boron atom derived from the boronated imide-type dispersant (C) is 200 ppm by mass or more based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
Disclosed is a lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition contains a lubricating base oil including mineral base oil, 4 to 15 mass % of an ester compound of a monovalent or polyvalent aliphatic carboxylic acid and a monovalent or polyvalent aliphatic alcohol, 400 to 1200 mass ppm of zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate in terms of a phosphorus element, 500 to 3000 mass ppm of a calcium-based detergent in terms of a calcium element, and 50 to 1000 mass ppm of a boron-modified succinimide-based dispersant in terms of a boron element, on the basis of the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.
Lubricating oil compositions containing pre-ceramic polymers
A lubricating composition comprises an oil of lubricating viscosity, a metal-free pre-ceramic polymer and one or more co-additives. The metal-free pre-ceramic polymer comprises a plurality of repeat units which do not contain oxygen. The pre-ceramic polymers provide the lubricating oil composition with antiwear properties. Also described is a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine and the use of a lubricating oil composition containing a pre-ceramic polymers to inhibit wear in an internal combustion engine.

LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
A lubricating oil composition containing a base oil, an organic molybdenum compound, and a metallic detergent, wherein the metallic detergent contains calcium sulfonate, and the content of the calcium sulfonate in terms of calcium atoms is 0.12% by mass or more based on the mass of the composition, the content ratio of molybdenum atoms derived from the organic molybdenum compound to soap groups derived from the metallic detergent based on the lubricating oil composition, [Mo/soap groups], is 0.02 or more at a mass ratio, and the HTHS viscosity at 150° C. is 1.3 mPa.Math.s or more and less than 2.3 mPa.Math.s. The lubricating oil composition has low viscosity and excellent lubricity.
Lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine
A lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine has a HTHS viscosity at 150° C. of 2.55-2.84 mPa.Math.s and includes: (A) a lubricating base oil including (a) mineral base oil(s) and/or (a) synthetic base oil(s), and having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 3.8-4.6 mm.sup.2/s; (B) 1000-2000 mass ppm, in terms of metal content, of a metallic detergent including (a) metal salicylate detergent(s), and delivering ≥10 mmol/kg of total salicylate soap base per kilogram of the composition; (C) 1.0 to 4.0 mass % of a comb-shaped poly(meth)acrylate having a Mw of 350,000-1,000,000 and a PDI of ≤4.0; and (D) 100-1000 mass ppm, in terms of nitrogen, of a succinimide dispersant including (i) (a) non-modified succinimide dispersant(s) and/or (ii) (a) boric acid-modified succinimide dispersant(s), wherein the (i) and the (ii), in total, deliver ≥70 mass % of total nitrogen content of the component (D).

ENGINE OIL LUBRICANT COMPOSTIONS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME WITH STEEL CORROSION PROTECTION
Provided is a low sulfated ash engine oil lubricant composition containing organic friction modifiers with improved fuel economy and corrosion resistance. The lubricant composition includes one or more metal free corrosion inhibitors having an organic acid group and/or one or more organo metallic naphthalene molecules having a ASTM D2896 total base number less than 3 mg KOH/g. The resulting lubricant composition improves ASTM D6557 corrosion protection for low sulfated ash engine oils containing organic friction modifiers, while maintaining exceptional fuel economy performance.
Lubricant Compositions For Direct Injection Engines
The invention is directed to a method for reducing low speed pre-ignition events in a spark-ignited direct injection internal combustion engine by supplying to the sump a lubricant composition which contains an oil of lubricating viscosity and a metal overbased detergent. The metal overbased detergent may be selected from sulfonate detergents, phenate detergents, and salicylate detergents, especially sulfonate detergents with a metal ratio of at least 5.
Lubricating Composition
A method of reducing low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in a direct-injected spark-ignited internal combustion engine comprising lubricating the crankcase of the engine with a composition comprising a combination of a molybdenum-containing additive and a boron-containing additive. Preferably, the composition comprises a calcium detergent providing a calcium content of at least 0.08 wt. %, based on the weight of the lubricating oil composition.
