OIL PROCESSING
A process for the production of a refined oil having a reduced content of glycidyl esters and hydroperoxides characterized in that it comprises subjecting an edible oil to the following steps, a bleaching step, a deodorization step, re-bleaching step on the deodorized oil, and a further refining step, wherein the further refining step is carried out by passing the bleached edible oil obtained in step c) through an oil refining equipment consisting of a stripping column with packing and not more than one oil collection tray.

COMPOUNDS EXTRACTED FROM PLANT MATTER AND METHODS OF PREPARATION THEREOF
Described herein are compositions from refined oil from plant matter, and in particular from seed, bean, nut, kernel, or pulp (e.g., wood pulp) material of virgin and/or non-virgin plant matter, and methods of forming those compositions. The methods typically include the steps of (i) at least partially separating the seed, bean, nut, kernel, or pulp material from other portions of the plant matter; (ii) extracting an oil comprising one or more triglycerides from the seed, bean, nut, kernel, or pulp material; (iii) refining the oil to remove one or more impurity components; and (iv) chemically or physically modifying the refined oil.
Liquid Oils Without Unwanted Contaminants
The present invention relates to a process for preparing purified vegetable liquid oil, and the process is comprising contacting a vegetable liquid oil, which has not been subjected to a deodorization step, with an adsorbent comprising alumina oxide and wherein the adsorbent has a content of alumina oxide of not more than 9.5% and the obtained deodorized vegetable liquid oils.
Compositions for reducing acidity
The present invention provides a composition based on a starch powder (such as flour), wheat germ, SiO.sub.2, MgO, Al.sub.2O.sub.3, Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, and K.sub.2O. This composition is extremely useful in treating acid related disorders and reducing the acidity, removing water, deodorizing, from plant oil and extending the oils shelf life of 3-5 years instead of the average one-year available.

REFINED POULTRY FAT PRODUCT AND USES THEREOF
Refined poultry fat comprising less than about 300 ppm of minerals and metals, wherein the refined poultry fat is resistant to bacterial growth when challenged with a bacterial species. The refined poultry fat is prepared from rendered poultry fat by a process comprising introducing moisture into the rendered poultry fat product to form a hydrated poultry fat product; (b) agitating and heating the hydrated poultry fat product such that droplets of water are dispersed throughout and coalesce with water-soluble impurities and/or particulate impurities in the hydrated poultry fat product to form a plurality of water-laden particles; and (c) removing the plurality of water-laden particles. The refined poultry fat can be used as an ingredient in the animal food industry, or can be used in the renewable energy industry.
Stability of Short Path Evaporation Treated Oils
The present invention relates to a process for increasing the oxidative stability of short path evaporated oils, by adding to short-path evaporated treated oil at least one other oil. It further relates to a composition comprising short-path evaporated treated palm oil and, at least one other oil. Furthermore, it relates to the food products comprising these oils with improved oxidative stability.
Elevated multi-stage chilled filter system
Refrigerated solvent is fed through a cooling jacket around an essential element extraction vessel. After circulating through the cooling jacket, the solvent is re-chilled and at least some of the solvent is passed into the extraction vessel, in which essential elements dissolve into the solvent. Downstream of the extraction vessel, after adsorbent media treatment, the extracted oil and solvent mixture is filtered, in a chilled state, through one or more filtration units. A filtration unit may be a system of vertically oriented filters of decreasing pore size sealed and insulated from the atmosphere. Pressurized gas is used to force the oil and solvent through the filters. Each filter stage has a removable lid, which provides convenient access for replacing the filter cartridge without disturbing the thermally insulated sidewalls of the filter stage.
