SUPPORT CUSHION HAVING MATTRESS DEPRESSION STRUCTURE
A personal support apparatus for use when resting on a sleeping surface in certain positions, particularly prone or face-down positions and side-resting positions. The apparatus comprises a support cushion and a bracket member with a depressor tongue that forms a depression or cavity in the sleeping surface when the user is resting on the cushion, helping to increase airflow to the user and facilitate breathing, all while reducing strain, increasing comfort, and optimizing rest. Alternate embodiments include multiple support cushions and a raised cradle member for supporting a user's forehead or other body parts.
LOUNGE CUSHION
A reversible lounge cushion is disclosed. The lounge cushion includes: an elongate cushion body having an upper cushion portion and a lower cushion portion foldably connected to the upper cushion portion, the upper cushion portion having a top surface and a bottom surface opposed to the top surface, the cushion body defining a cavity adjacent to a top end of the cushion body, wherein the cavity extends between a first aperture on the top surface and a second aperture on the bottom surface, and a permeable screen disposed in the cavity between the first aperture and the second aperture.
THERAPEUTIC CUSHION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a base support having a support element portion and an encasement portion. The support element portion has a first end portion, a second end portion and a top surface disposed at an angle relative to a bottom surface. The second end portion has a height greater than the first end portion. A support pillow member is fixedly coupled to the base support between at least a portion of the encasement portion and at least a portion the second end portion of the support element portion. The support pillow member, the support element portion and the encasement portion collectively define an interior region that includes a receiving portion configured to receive at least a portion of a user's arm therein.
Pillow structure
A supporting pillow structure for a user to sleep or to perform sedentary activity facing down toward the pillow structure with the user's hands and arms placed underneath their face. The pillow structure includes a top opening substantially on the top surface of the pillow structure for the user's face to lean into the pillow structure, at least two side openings in the side of the pillow structure for the user to insert the user's arms into the pillow structure and place the user's arms underneath their head or body comfortably and to increase airflow for the user to breathe comfortably while resting, and a cavity in the middle of the pillow structure for airflow between the openings and for placing objects within the pillow structure, allowing the user to perform tasks requiring minimal physical activity while remaining comfortable and sedentary for an extended period of time. Embodiments of the pillow structure may be configured to provide users with comfort and support while the user is seated leaning forward on an airplane or at a desk or table or while the user is lying facing down on a substantially level surface such as a bed.
CRADLE FRAME AND STRUCTURE
Embodiments of cradle frames and cushions are described herein. A cradle frame includes a connection assembly, a support assembly, an adjustment assembly, and a gear assembly. The connection assembly is configured to couple the cradle frame to a structure. The support assembly includes two side sections, and a middle section that is curved downward and positioned substantially between the two side sections. The adjustment assembly is coupled to the support assembly for adjusting the positioning of the support assembly. The gear assembly is coupled to the adjustment assembly for controlling the positioning of the support assembly. A cushion has a contoured upper side, and one or more opening in the middle part of the cushion on the underside.
CONTOURED DEVICE FOR ANATOMICAL TRACTION OR CORRECTION OF THE SPINE
An anatomical support device including a lower portion and a contoured upper portion is provided. The lower portion has a length measured along a bottom side extending between a front and a rear of the lower portion. The upper portion extends from a top side of the lower portion. The upper portion separates a first support region from a second support region of the top side. The upper portion has a width that is generally perpendicular and less than the length. The upper portion has a center line is continuously curved along at least 95% of the length. The upper portion may have a greater gripping characteristic than the support regions. The bottom side may be stiffer than the top side or the upper portion. Further, the upper portion may be tapered between the front and rear.
Chest Support Pillow
A chest support pillow is described. The pillow includes an interior component, an exterior component, a medial portion, and two distal portions. The distal portions form two circular apertures with the medial portion. The pillow may further include a lower portion that forms a lower aperture. The pillow may be used to provide support to a user's chest and front side when lying face down during activities including massage, sleep, chiropractic therapy, and medical procedures.
True pure prone positioning mattress for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea
This patent is for a Pure Prone Positioning (PPP) mattress (001) allowing for one or more people to sleep on a bed in the prone position with their face straight into the mattress plane. Structurally the mattress fits within a standard bed footprint and midpoint where the head is normally positioned on the mattress, a cavity of substantial size is designed for placement of a face rest proning assembly to be positioned there. The face rest proning assembly allows for longitudinal and lateral adjustments of the head and neck, and the padded face rest is adjustable to each face width. The face rest proning assembly allows for easy breathing of oxygen and exhalation of carbon dioxide. Since breathing is normal a person can be medicated while sleeping on the PPP mattress.
