PORTABLE REBOUNDING DEVICE
A method for generating a rebounding motion between a person and a stationary surface comprising the steps of providing a rebounding device that includes a front member, a rear member, and a spring mechanism positioned between the front member and the rear member for allowing the front member and rear member to move toward and away from one another. The method further includes the steps of positioning the rear member against the stationary surface and the front member adjacent to an upper body of the person and the stationary surface, and applying pressure to the rebounding device through the upper body such that the upper body moves toward from the stationary surface while a lower body of the person remains in place.
Weighted Target Applicator
A weighted target applicator is an apparatus that applies weight directly to specific parts of the body of a user. The apparatus includes at least one pad, a setting, a structural base, and a barbell mount. The pad is detachably attached onto the setting, the structural base is mounted onto the setting, opposite to the pad. The barbell mount is mounted onto the structural base, opposite the setting. In a first embodiment and a second embodiment, the structural base is rotatably connected to the setting. The at least one pad of the first embodiment conforms to the chest. The at least one pad of the second embodiment conforms to the hip. In a third embodiment, the structural base is fixed to the setting. The at least one pad of the third embodiment includes a first pad and a second pad that are shaped to receive the face of the user.
Cushion wedge
A cushion wedge for filling a gap between furniture cushions. The cushion wedge includes an elongated body having an upper side and a lower side. A pair of legs are disposed on the lower side at a first end of the elongated body and a second end of the elongated body. The pair of legs are inserted between adjacent furniture cushions such that the elongated body rests flush with the cushions, such that the gap between the cushions is filled. A support member is disposed at a terminal end of each of the pair of legs, wherein the support member is pivotally affixed to the terminal end about a hinge to provide stability to the elongated body.
Therapeutic cushion systems and methods
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a support element and a conformable riser element adjacent the support element. The riser element and the support element collectively form a body support member configured to support a user and define a receiving portion configured to receive a portion of the user's arm. The riser element and the support element are each disposed within a casing formed at least in part with a stretch material. In some embodiments, the riser element includes a polyester filler material and the stretch material includes a four-way stretch material. The four-way stretch material in combination with the polyester filler material enables the riser element to be conformable.
Suspended back pillow for maintaining a side sleeping position
A device and method for enabling an individual located on a bed to sustain a side-sleeping orientation on either a left or right side. The device comprises a light weight, elongated back pillow having a longitudinal axis and being configured to assume a rest position at a hack side of the individual and proximate to an adjacent surface of a bed when reclined in a side-sleeping orientation. The back pillow includes a hinge-like attachment structure which is positioned along a longitudinal edge of the pillow to secure the pillow to the individual's bed clothing. The attachment structure provides sufficient rotation to allow the pillow to rotate to the rest position in response to the force of gravity, ready to be engaged in a partial captured configuration between the individual's back and bed surface upon initial rotation of the individual from the side-sleeping orientation toward a supine sleeping position. Additionally, at least one front pillow is positioned and configured for concurrent positioning to a front portion of the individual at a knee and/chest location to complete a three-dimensional frame of reference for sleep position with respect to a bed surface and for developing an expectation within the individual's mind that the presence of the at least one front pillow indicates concurrent, probable presence of the back pillow capable of blocking rotation of the individual to a supine position.
PORTABLE MATTRESS SEATING APPARATUS
A portable mattress seating apparatus attachable to a mattress. The portable mattress seating apparatus clips onto a location on the peripheral of any conventional mattress. The apparatus has a retaining member that is retained under a mattress and above the box spring. The retaining member is attached to a vertical member adjacent to the side of the mattress. The vertical member is attached to another seating member that is oriented parallel to the top of the mattress face. The seat member is attached to a back-rest member. The back-rest member is attached to the seating member distal to the side of the mattress. The back-rest member is adjustable, allowing the back rest to be at acute, obtuse or 90-degree angles to the seating member. Further, the apparatus includes supporting members to spread the weight of a seated person.
Body Support
A sleeping system may include a torso wedge section, the torso wedge section being inflatable and a knee bolster section, the knee bolster section being inflatable. A positioning device may include a torso wedge section to receive weight from a user's torso; a knee bolster section to receive weight from a user's legs; and a strap coupling the torso wedge section and the knee bolster section together to prevent the torso wedge section and the knee bolster section from separating.
Bed sheet with an integrated body positioner
Implementations of a bed sheet with an integrated body positioner are provided. In some implementations, the bed sheet may comprise a sheet having an integrated body positioner, the body positioner may comprise a head portion, a torso portion, a first arm portion, a second arm portion, a first leg portion, a second leg portion, or any combination thereof. In some implementations, one or more portions of the integrated body positioner may include a removable pillow, or padding, that is positioned therein. In some implementations, the integrated body positioner may include an elevating foot portion instead of the leg portions. The elevating foot portion may be configured to act as a pillow for a user's feet and/or ankles. In some implementations, the bed sheet with an integrated body positioner may be configured so that it can be secured on a mattress, an infant changing pad, and/or any other suitable structure.
