A candle holder comprises a housing for securing a candle; the housing including first thermochromic material formed on the housing and second thermochromic material formed on the thermochromic material. The first thermochromic material changes a perceivable state of the first thermochromic material when an ambient temperature of first thermochromic material is above a first pre-determined activation temperature, the perceivable state of the first thermochromic material being visually perceivable or non-visually perceivable. The second thermochromic material changes a perceivable state of the second thermochromic material when an ambient temperature of second thermochromic material is above a second pre-determined activation temperature, the perceivable state of the second thermochromic material being visually perceivable or non-visually perceivable. The perceivable state of the first thermochromic material is different from the perceivable state of the second thermochromic material.

A wick includes a sheet of wick material. The wick has a height dimension, a width dimension, and a thickness dimension. The height dimension and the width dimension are greater than the thickness dimension. The height dimension extends from the top of the wick to the bottom of the wick as the wick is oriented when provided in a candle. The width dimension and the thickness dimension are perpendicular to the height dimension. The sheet of wick material may be dyed, provided with a visible pattern and/or provided with a plurality of cut-out portions.

A candle creating kit includes a vase, a first container containing a liquid resin, a second container containing a gel wax, a third container containing a powder is comprised of a light reflecting material and a fourth container containing a liquid pigment. The liquid resin and the gel wax are poured into the vase in alternating layers and a desired amount of the power and pigment are mixable into the resin. A block of candle wax is heatable into a fluid wax which can be poured into the vase. A wick is insertable into the fluid wax before the fluid wax hardens thereby facilitating the fluid wax to be burned in the wick when the wick is ignited to illuminate the immediate area around the vase.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method of making a decorative candle. According to an embodiment, the method includes disposing a dye on at least part of an inner surface of a container and providing wax, in fluid form, in a cavity of the container. The cavity is defined by a base and a sidewall, and an opening provides access to the cavity. According to another embodiment, the decorative candle comprises a candle unit comprising a core comprising a first portion of wax, and a first patterned layer comprising a dye dispersed in a second portion of the wax, the first patterned layer enclosing at least a portion of the core. The thickness of the first patterned layer is less than or equal to about 0.25 inch, and the core is substantially free of the dye.

A candle or candle composition is provided made from only edible materials and is formed from palatably desirable compositions. Cocoa butter and chocolate at a ratio of between approximately three parts to approximately five parts cocoa butter to one part chocolate provides a composition that is moldable and capable of being formed into a self supporting candle structure that is capable of being lit and maintaining a flame. At the same time, the unignited portions, when melted, creates a pool of melted, edible chocolate flavor material. Inclusion of trace amounts of sugar and vanilla improve the palatability and gastronomic effect of the melted material.

Disclosed is a candle making apparatus including an electric appliance for a process of sequentially melting, mixing and holding the constituents of a container candle inside a jug and at a molten temperature until a user is ready to pour the melt into a container. Typically the constituents of such candles include vegetable wax, soy products, vegetable oils, fats or fatty acids. They are melted at a higher temperature, then mixed, and cooled so that volatile ingredients can be added at a lower temperature while the mixture remains melted, and is further stirred. The process is controlled by a microprocessor. A visual interface displays progress and accepts user input.

Proposed is a natural wax composition including 80 to 95 parts by weight of natural plant oil being a mixture of different kinds of oil, 3 to 20 parts by weight of wax, and 1 to 3 parts by weight of a preservative. Therefore, a natural wax composition can be provided that enables anyone to easily and conveniently mold Do-it-Yourself (DIY) scented candles even without the need for any expert knowledge for making scented candles. The natural wax composition can exhibit cream-type properties, leading to a reduction in liquefaction time compared to solid wax, thereby significantly reducing the manufacturing time of scented candles.

The present disclosure relates to a new way to manufacture and incorporate decorative features within a candle using a floating candle and a suspension base. The present disclosure describes a floating candle that may be located over a base with suspended decoration. In some aspects, the floating candle may comprise an ignitable wick that may extinguish prior to reaching the base. In some implementations, the base may comprise a liquid that may allow for movement of the decorations within the base. In some aspects, the base may comprise a rigid material, such as a hardened epoxy or polymerized monomer, wherein the curing of the material may occur after the decorations may be placed in the base.

Candles are provided with special purpose constituent matter to impart hell and well-being properties into the environments in which these articles are consumed. A candle is formed of combustible material, a wick element and special purpose dopants generally either transition metals or post-transition metals. Very small sized, non-ionic metal particles are held in suspension within bulk combustible material from which the candle is made. Upon burning, these small particles are lifted into the combustion reaction and propelled via vapor and smoke currents into the surrounding air wherein they are well distributed within the environment where the candle is used. So liberated from the device, these metallic particles impart health and well-being properties in a great plurality of manner in agreement with well-known biological processes.

Provided is a wick for a candle including a carbon material. In addition, provided is a candle including the wick for a candle. By using the wick for a candle according to the present invention, it is possible to provide the candle in which a length of the wick combusted at the time of combustion is not long and ash of the wick does not fall.
