MODULAR PNEUMATIC ACTUATION SYSTEM FOR ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT
A pneumatic adjustment module is attachable to a support panel of a bed. The module has a base received on a support panel of the bed and a tilt panel attached to the base with a vertex hinge. A bladder is positioned between the base and tilt panel. The bladder may have a plurality of expansion segments. The bladder is pneumatically expandable from a deflated condition to an inflated condition. The tilt panel is substantially parallel to the base in the deflated condition and in the inflated condition has an effectively triangular expanded cross section with a vertex proximate the vertex hinge providing the tilt panel with a tilt angle with respect to the base.
INFLATABLE ADJUSTABLE BED
The presently disclosed subject matter provides an inflatable adjustable bed. Generally, the inflatable adjustable bed comprises two inflatable units. A head support unit designed to support a user's head and torso and a leg support unit is designed to support the user's legs. A secondary pad and/or a middle pad may be secured to the inflatable units and provide additional support to a user lying supine on the inflatable adjustable bed. In some embodiments, the secondary pad and/or the middle pad comprises a functionality to provide a user with options for cooling, heating, vibration, or monitoring for vitals. Different sections and units of the inflatable adjustable bed can be inflated or deflated independently to a desired level. The inflatable adjustable bed can be folded for an easy transport by the user.
Air mattress and method of controlling the same
An air mattress includes a first air cell, a second air cell, a plurality of third air cells, and a body-lifting air cell. The second air cell includes a first air chamber, a second air chamber, and a structurally-weakened region. The body-lifting air cell is below the second air cell and at least one of the third air cells. The body-lifting air cell is inflated by an air source controlled by a control system. When the body-lifting air cell is inflated, a vertical distance between the top of second air cell and the bottom of air mattress is greater than a vertical distance between the top of first air cell and the bottom of air mattress. When the body-lifting air cell is inflated, the second air cell has a lower structural strength than the other air cells to have a cushioning effect against external forces.
Pneumatic bladder arrangement for a seat and method for manufacturing the same
A pneumatic bladder arrangement comprises a plurality of bladders arranged in an array of rows and columns, wherein the array comprises a first array section and a second array section with the first and second array sections each comprising at least one row of bladders. The pneumatic bladder arrangement may be used in a support apparatus for a seat, in particular for a backrest of a seat.
PNEUMATIC BLADDER ARRANGEMENT FOR A SEAT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A pneumatic bladder arrangement includes a plurality of bladders arranged in an array of rows and columns. The array comprises a first array section and a second array section with the first and second array sections each comprising at least one column of bladders. The pneumatic bladder arrangement also includes at least one element for the supply or distribution of fluid to the plurality of bladders provided or formed between two flexible sheets of material by welding the respective two sheets of material to each other.
BED WITH STRAPS AND CONNECTORS
Bed systems include a mattress that is configured to be attached to a foundation. The bed systems include a strap and a connector configured to hold the strap and connect the mattress and the foundation to each other.
Adjustable bed system with split head and split foot configuration
A sleep system comprises an air posturizing module having a case, the case comprising a first case section extending medially along a length of the case to define a movable first section, a second case section adjacent to the first case section and extending along a length of the case to define a movable second section, a third case section defining a third posturing section, a fourth case section extending medially along a length of the case to define a movable third section, and a fifth case section extending medially along a length of the case to define a movable fourth section. One or more first air chambers are carried in the first, third and fourth case sections to provide a first sleep area, and one or more second air chambers are carried in the second, third, and fifth module sections to provide a second sleep area.
BENDABLE ELASTIC CUSHION AND ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM THEREOF
An adjustment mechanism of a bendable elastic cushion includes a base, a backrest frame, and one or more curved guide rails. The one or more curved guide rails are fixedly connected to the base, and the backrest frame is slidably connected to the one or more curved guide rails, so as to change an angle between the backrest frame and a horizontal plane by sliding the backrest frame along a direction in which the one or more curved guide rails extend.
Zipper mattress attachment
A system can include a zipper that connects a mattress to a bed foundation. For example, the zipper can extend from a head end to a foot end of an adjustable foundation. For another example, a zipper can connect to a mattress along a seam of the mattress and/or to a foundation along a seam of a foundation. For another example, a first zipper can connect the mattress core to a second zipper and the second zipper can connect a foundation to the first zipper. For another example, first and second zippers can be substantially vertically aligned.
