METHOD OF LAUNDERING FABRIC
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric which includes (a) contacting laundry detergent to water to form an aqueous wash liquor; (b) contacting fabric to the aqueous wash liquor, and washing the fabric in the aqueous wash liquor; (c) removing at least some of the aqueous wash liquor from the fabric, and rinsing the fabric with a first aqueous rinse solution in a first rinse step; (d) removing at least some of the first aqueous rinse solution from the fabric, and rinsing the fabric with a second aqueous rinse solution in a second rinse step; and (e) removing at least some of the second aqueous rinse solution from the fabric, wherein the first aqueous rinse solution is free from soil release polymer, and wherein the second aqueous rinse solution includes a soil release polymer that is a polyester soil release polymer.
SOIL REMOVAL ON COTTON VIA TREATMENT IN THE RINSE STEP FOR ENHANCED CLEANING IN THE SUBSEQUENT WASH
The disclosure relates to compositions particularly suited for removing soils from textiles, in particular the removal of oily food soils, oily cosmetic soils, and industrial soils from textiles containing cotton, particularly those comprising one or more of surfactants, and cationic amines, or silicone compounds. Methods of making and using such compounds are also provided.
Use of polysaccharide microgels in detergents
The proposed cluster of inventions relates to chemical industry, in particular to compositions of and additives in detergents designed for household, professional or personal use, to be used at home or industrially. The essence of this cluster of inventions lays in the use of polysaccharide microgels as an additive or the base in detergents, in particular as an antiresorption agent, thickener, or an agent for reducing surface tension at the interphase boundary, including also composition of detergents with polysaccharide microgels. The technological result of the application of these inventions is reduction of the quantity of surfactants in the detergent, while its detergency is no affected, which raises their ecological value and safety for the final users.
Fabric treatment composition
The present invention relates to a fabric treatment composition capable of enhancing cleaning properties of a soil during cleaning through treatment of a fabric to be treated and a method for treating a fabric with the fabric treatment composition. The fabric treatment composition is a fabric treatment composition containing a hydroxyalkyl cellulose (A) in which a hydroxyalkyl cellulose is bound to at least one selected from a cationic group and a hydrophobic group including a hydrocarbon group having 4 or more carbon atoms, the content of a surfactant (B) being 3.5 parts by mass or less relative to 1 part by mass of the hydroxyalkyl cellulose (A).
COMPOSITION
Laundry liquid composition comprising a benzoate salt and a linear alkyl benzoate surfactant, said composition having a pH of from 5 to 7.5. A method for preserving a laundry liquid composition comprising linear alkyl benzoate and having a pH of from 5 to 7.5 by adding a benzoate salt.
Sustainable laundry sour compositions with iron control
Linen treatment compositions and linen processes are disclosed which help to prevent iron deposition from wash water, and/or redeposition after iron containing stain (such as blood) removal by alkaline detergents. The linen treatment composition is a combination of a hydroxycarboxylic acid and an acid source, which may be organic or inorganic. The invention provides for effective iron control in a phosphorus-free formula that is also free of toxic or hazardous chemicals and includes sustainable, environmentally friendly ingredients, while still providing effective iron control.
Soil release polymers and laundry detergent compositions containing them
The invention provides a polymer providing soil release properties (also termed a “soil release polymer” or SRP) when incorporated in a laundry detergent composition, the polymer comprising a capped polyoxyalkylene end block connected to a polyester segment; the polyester segment comprising alternating —B.sup.1-A-B.sup.2— and —R— units; in which B.sup.1 and B.sup.2 are each independently selected from —OC(O)— and —C(O)O— groups; A is a 2,5-furanylene ring and R is a divalent alkylene radical. The polymer provides good compatibility, stability and cleaning performance when incorporated into a laundry detergent composition, preferably a liquid laundry detergent composition, comprising one or more detersive surfactants.
Cleaning booster polymer
A liquid laundry additive is provided, comprising a cleaning booster polymer having structural units of a monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer; structural units of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer of formula (I) ##STR00001##
optionally, structural units of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer of formula (III) ##STR00002##
and optionally, structural units of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer of formula (IV) ##STR00003##
Anti-redeposition additive for laundry detergent
A laundry detergent composition comprising an anti-redeposition agent, a surfactant, and optionally a builder, wherein the anti-redeposition agent is a polymer comprising polymerized units of: (a) from 5 to 40 wt % of at least one nitrogen-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer having at least one pKa value from 6 to 11.5, and (b) from 60 to 95 wt % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer.
VEHICLE HARD SURFACE COMPOSITION CONTAINING GRAPHENE
A vehicle hard surface cleaning composition is provided that includes a surfactant present from 0.1 to 8.0 total weight percent, a hydrotrope present from 0.1 to 3.0 total weight percent, a wetting agent present from 0.1 to 5.0 total weight percent, a protectant present from 0.01 to 17 total weight percent, and a diluent making up a remainder of the composition. A method of cleaning a vehicle hard surface include applying the composition thereto and washing the composition therefrom to leave a residue of graphene or graphene oxide.
