DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to detergent compositions comprising a polypeptide having alpha-amylases. Furthermore, the present invention relates to methods of using the detergent compositions.
Cleaning Formulations for Chemically Sensitive Individuals: Compositions and Methods
The present disclosure relates to cleaning compositions in general, and cleaning compositions that are well suited for use by individuals, who experience adverse health effects that may occur upon exposure to certain chemicals. This condition, characterized as multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), makes it virtually impossible for certain individuals to use commercially available cleaning products without inducing immunological responses. The disclosure presents and describes protocols for the formulation and evaluation of a variety of cleaning products and dilutable cleaning product concentrates using a combination of .sup.14C assay, head space analysis and screening of both ingredients and final products for governmentally-regulated materials. The methods and compositions newly presented herein avoid causing adverse health responses in individuals and are suitable for use by any person, particularly individuals who experience MCS.
Method of Simultaneously Maximizing the Mildness and Cleaning Performance of a Liquid Dishwashing Composition
A method of simultaneously maximizing the mildness and cleaning performance of a liquid dishwashing composition includes the steps of: A. forming the composition that has a pH of greater than about 7 and up to about 11, that comprises sodium laureth sulfate, an amine oxide, and optionally cocamidopropyl betaine, and that is substantially free of sodium lauryl sulfate; and B. subjecting a sample of the composition to a Zein test, a corneosurfametry (CSM) test, and an in vitro cytokine release test for IL-1α response, respectively,
wherein the sample exhibits a Zein score of from about 0.1 to about 2.5, a CSM test value of from about 10 to about 35, and a cytokine release test value of from about 100 to about 600.
HARD SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITIONS
The need for a liquid hard surface cleaning composition which provides improved grease removal and low suds is met using a combination of alkyl ethoxylated nonionic surfactant; an anionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of: an alkyl sulphate, a sulphonic acid or sulphonate surfactant, and mixtures thereof; and a co-surfactant in specific ratios.
CLEANING COMPOSITION FOR ORAL APPLIANCE
A cleaning composition for an oral appliance, including the following components (A) and (B): (A) an unsaturated fatty acid having 10 or more and 20 or less carbon atoms or a salt thereof in an amount of 0.5 mass % or more and 14 mass % or less in terms of the fatty acid, and (B) one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of an anionic surfactant (b1), a nonionic surfactant (b2), and an amphoteric surfactant (b3), and the composition has a pH at 25° C. of 5.5 or higher and 14 or lower.
UNIT DOSE PRODUCT COMPRISING A LIQUID COMPOSITION WITH ENCAPSULATED FRAGRANCE
The present disclosure provides the a fabric treatment unit dose product comprising at least one water-soluble compartment enclosing a liquid composition; wherein the liquid composition comprises an encapsulated fragrance slurry, a rheology modifier, a pH adjusting agent, a first non-aqueous solvent, a second a non-aqueous solvent, and a polyethylene glycol.
Method of dishwashing comprising detergent compositions substantially free of polycarboxylic acid polymers
Methods of dishwashing to remove soils are disclosed, including a first detergent wash step, wherein the detergent is substantially-free of water conditioning agents including polycarboxylic acid polymers and phosphonates, followed by a second step of rinsing under high temperature with a water conditioning agent, namely polycarboxylic acid polymers. The methods result in little to no precipitation forming on the treated ware due to the treating of the hard water before it contacts the alkalinity source which prevents precipitation and/or flocculation from occurring.
AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING DETERGENT COMPOSITION
An automatic dishwashing detergent composition having a pH as measured in 1% weight aqueous solution at 25° C. of from about 5 to about 7.5, the composition includes a sulfonated polymer.
AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING DETERGENT COMPOSITION
An automatic dishwashing detergent composition having a pH as measured in 1% weight aqueous solution at 25° C. of from about 5 to about 7.5, the composition including an esterified alkyl alkoxylated surfactant of general formula (I)
##STR00001## wherein R is a branched or unbranched alkyl radical having 8 to 16 carbon atoms; R.sup.3, R.sup.1 independently of one another, are hydrogen or a branched or unbranched alkyl radical having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 is an unbranched alkyl radical having 5 to 17 carbon atoms; 1, n independently of one another, are a number from 1 to 5 and m is a number from 13 to 35.
PSEUDOMONAS STUTZERI LIPASE AND USE THEREOF
The present disclosure is in the field of enzyme technology, in particular the lipolytic action of enzymes on fats and oils, as used, for example, in washing agents or cleaning agents. The present disclosure relates to an agent, in particular washing or cleaning agent, which contains a lipase as defined herein. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to a method for the cleaning of textiles and the use of the agent as contemplated herein for the removal of soilings.
