GLYCOPHOSPHOLIPID POLYMERIC NETWORK AND USE THEREOF
A glycophospholipid polymer is disclosed. The glycophospholipid polymer comprises a reaction product of one or more glycosaminoglycans and one or more phospholipids. Also disclosed is a glycophospholipid polymeric network comprising a reaction product of one or more glycosaminoglycans, one or more phospholipids and, one or more crosslinking agents.
Variant alkaline protease enzyme compositions and methods
The invention is directed to novel alkaline proteases.
L-HISTIDINE AND VITAMIN B IN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTIONS
An aqueous ophthalmic solution comprising 0.00001 to about 10.0 percent by weight L-histidine, 1 ppm to 60 ppm hydrogen peroxide, 0.00001 to about 10.0 percent by weight of a B vitamin; and 0.1 to 500 parts per million of a preservative that provides superior preservative efficacy especially as against fungal microbes. These solutions may be employed in various ways including cleaning contact lenses, rinsing lenses while in the eye, storing lenses and in delivering active pharmaceutical agents to the eye.
PACKAGING SOLUTIONS
A packaging system for the storage of an ophthalmic device is disclosed. The packaging system comprises a sealed container containing one or more unused ophthalmic devices immersed in an aqueous packaging solution comprising one or more hydrophilic polymers or copolymers comprising hydrophilic units and endcapped with a hydrophobic end group and a hydrophilic end group, wherein the solution has an osmolality of at least about 200 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is heat sterilized.
Anti-fogging agent comprising a fluorinated surfactant mixture and alcohol
The present invention provides anti-fogging agents and cleaners that provide long-lasting prevention of fogging of glass, plastic, or other hard surfaces. The present invention relates to an anti-fogging agent or cleaner which contains: (A) a fluorinated amphoteric or anionic surfactant; and (B) a fluorinated nonionic surfactant. The present invention also relates to an eyeglass cleaner including a non-woven fabric impregnated with the anti-fogging agent or cleaner.
Pharmaceutical composition containing 8 OXO-deoxyguanosine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as active ingredient for treating corneal disease
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating corneal disease containing 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine (8-oxo-2-deoxyguanosine) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. Specifically, by confirming that a corneal epithelium was restored (regenerated) quicker and the clarity of a cornea improved when it was administered W to a mouse model of corneal disease induced by ethanol, 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine (8-oxo-2-deoxyguanosine) of the present invention may be useful for the treatment of corneal disease.
SERINE PROTEASES
The present disclosure relates to serine proteases and variants thereof. Compositions containing the serine proteases are suitable for use in cleaning fabrics and hard surfaces, as well as in a variety of industrial applications.
OPHTHALMIC SOLUTIONS HAVING VISUAL MARKER FOR SAFER CONTACT LENS INSERTION AND REMOVAL
A method of applying a contact lens to an eye of a subject can include: applying an ophthalmic composition to the contact lens, wherein the ophthalmic composition includes a colorant that temporarily colorizes the contact lens; and positioning the colorized contact lens onto a correct position of the eye while visualizing the colorized contact lens. A method of removing a contact lens from an eye of a subject can include: applying an ophthalmic composition to the contact lens while located on the eye of the subject, wherein the ophthalmic composition includes a colorant that temporarily colorizes the contact lens; and removing the colorized contact lens from the eye while visualizing the colorized contact lens.
Anti-fogging agent comprising a fluorosurfactant mixture
The present invention provides anti-fogging agents and cleaners that provide long-lasting prevention of fogging of glass, plastic, or other hard surfaces. The present invention relates to an anti-fogging agent or cleaner which contains: (A) a fluorinated amphoteric surfactant; (B) a fluorinated anionic or cationic surfactant; and (C) a non-fluorinated amphoteric surfactant. The present invention also relates to an eyeglass cleaner including a non-woven fabric impregnated with the anti-fogging agent or cleaner.
Ophthalmic contact lens solutions containing forms of vitamin B
The present invention relates to improved ophthalmic solutions that employ select B vitamins; pyridoxine and its salts; and thiamine and its salts in order to more effectively preserve solutions and to reduce the degree to which cationic preservatives will deposit on contact lenses. Ophthalmic solutions are here understood to include contact lens treatment solutions, such as cleaners, soaking solutions, conditioning solutions and lens storage solutions, as well as wetting solutions and in-eye solutions for treatment of eye conditions.
