Opacified Liquid Detergent Composition That Is Free Of A Microplastic Opacifier
An opacified liquid detergent composition includes at least one anionic surfactant, a fatty acid, calcium cations, and water. The fatty acid and calcium cations are present in the opacified liquid detergent composition in a weight ratio of the fatty acid to the calcium cations of from about 1:25 to about 1:150. The opacified liquid detergent composition is free of a microplastic opacifier and has a turbidity value of greater than 250 NTU measured utilizing a turbidity meter at about 24° C.

A washing agent portion unit including a) at least one first receiving chamber, b) at least one water-soluble film surrounding this first receiving chamber, and c) at least one first flowable washing agent preparation located in the first receiving chamber, which preparation contains, based on the total weight thereof, i) 40 to 80 wt. % surfactant; ii) 2 to 15 wt. % fatty acid; iii) 0.3 to 8 wt. % of salt of a divalent cation; iv) 8 to 35 wt. % solvent; d) at least one second receiving chamber which is surrounded by a water-soluble film and is filled with a second washing agent preparation which differs from the first flowable washing agent preparation, wherein the first receiving chamber and the second receiving chamber are directly adjacent to one another and separated from one another by a water-soluble film, and washing methods using these washing agent portion units.

An opacified liquid detergent composition includes at least one anionic surfactant, a fatty acid, magnesium cations, calcium cations, and water. The fatty acid, magnesium cations, and calcium cations are present in the opacified liquid detergent composition in a weight ratio of from about 0.95:0.04:0.01 to about 0.88:0.11:0.01 of fatty acid to magnesium cations to calcium cations. The opacified liquid detergent composition is free of a microplastic opacifier and has a turbidity value of greater than 250 NTU measured utilizing a turbidity meter at about 24° C.
Unit Dose Detergent Pack Including An Opacified Liquid Detergent Composition Free Of A Microplastic Opacifier
A unit dose detergent pack is disclosed. The unit dose detergent pack includes a pouch formed from a water-soluble film and an opacified liquid detergent composition releasably disposed within the pouch. The opacified liquid detergent composition includes a plurality of neutralizing agents including more than 50 mole percent of sodium hydroxide and a remainder alkanolamine based on a total of 100 mole percent of the sodium hydroxide and the alkanolamine together. The composition further includes a fatty acid and water. A weight ratio of the sodium hydroxide and the fatty acid is from about 0.3:1 to about 0.8 to 1. The opacified liquid detergent composition is free of a microplastic opacifier and has a turbidity of at least 250 NTUs measured utilizing a turbidity meter at about 24° C. Also disclosed is an opacified liquid detergent composition and a method of making the same.

A unit dose detergent pack includes a pouch made of a water-soluble film and a detergent composition encapsulated within the pouch. The detergent composition consists essentially of a rheology modified surfactant system and at least one adjunct. The rheology modified surfactant system consists of a surfactant blend including an alcohol ethoxy sulfate having a C.sub.8-C.sub.20 backbone that is ethoxylated with from about 1 to about 10 moles of ethylene oxide and is present in an amount of from about 5 to about 30 weight percent actives. The detergent composition also consists essentially of a rheology modifying agents consisting of water present in a total amount of from about 5 to about 30 weight percent and a glycol ether present in an amount of from about 0.5 to about 20 weight percent.
