Liquid peroxycarboxylic acid laundry compositions, namely bleaching and disinfecting compositions combining mixed peroxycarboxylic acids to provide synergistic efficacy are disclosed. Methods of using the liquid peroxycarboxylic acid laundry compositions for low temperatures and a use pH with detergent and water from about 6 to about 10 are also disclosed. Beneficially, the liquid peroxycarboxylic acid laundry compositions and methods of using the same do not include sulfonated peroxycarboxylic acids and sulfonated carboxylic acid, such as peroxy sulfonated oleic acid/sulfonated oleic acid (PSOA/SOA).

An automatic dishwashing cleaning composition comprising: a) a mixed builder system comprising soluble builder and crystalline silicate wherein the soluble builder comprises a complexing agent, a phosphonate and a dispersant polymer and wherein the level of each soluble builder in the composition is: a1) from 15% to 40% by weight of the composition of the complexing agent; a2) from 2% to 7% by weight of the composition of the phosphonate; and a3) from 1% to 7% by weight of the composition of the dispersant polymer wherein the soluble builder and the crystalline silicate are in a weight ratio of from 8:1 to 15:1 b) a bleaching system comprising bleach, a bleach catalyst and a bleach activator; and c) from 0% to 20% by weight of the composition of carbonate.

A method of washing dishware in a dishwasher comprising the step of delivering into the dishwasher: a) a first composition comprising oxygen bleach and substantially free of enzymes; followed by b) a second composition comprising enzymes wherein the first composition has a pH of at least 11 and the pH of the first composition is at least 1 pH unit greater the pH of the second composition wherein the pH is measured at wash concentration at 20° C.

The method may include contacting a cooling tower fill with a composition that may include a surfactant and an additive selected from an oxidizing agent, an acid, and any combination thereof when the cooling water system is off-line. The method may include contacting a deposit in the cooling tower fill with the composition. The oxidizing agent may be hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, ozone, sodium hypobromite, sodium or potassium permanganate, or any combination thereof. The surfactant may include a C.sub.8-C.sub.10 alkyl polyglycoside and a C.sub.10-C.sub.18 alkyl polyglycoside.
