The present disclosure is related to non-alpha-substituted, low molecular weight peracid compositions. The peracids have no or a negligible amount of odor, have good stability, and have antimicrobial properties. The peracid compositions can be formulated into a wide variety of end use products, including disinfectants, sanitizers, sporicides, fungicides, laundry products, hard surface cleaners, bleaching agents, personal cleansers, and water treatment products.

Process for the Continuous On-Site Production of Percarboxycilic Acid Solutions and Device for Its Implementation

Provided are various methods and systems for producing peroxycarboxylic acid compositions, and in particular, nonequilibrium compositions of peracetic acid. The methods and systems control flow rates and proportions of feedstocks/reactants, perform the required sequence of reaction steps to produce high yield peroxycarboxcylic acid solutions in a continuous manner, and provide optimal reaction time and reactant mixing for continuous and safe on-site production.

CHLORINE BLEACHING AFTER PERACID TREATMENT

A method for enhancing bleaching efficacy for treatment of articles, including for example laundry is disclosed. Methods for antimicrobial disinfecting and/or sanitizing and bleaching laundry and other articles is provided by washing the articles with a peroxyformic acid composition at a first pH for effective antimicrobial efficacy, thereafter applying an alkaline source to increase the pH for addition of a bleaching component. The methods can be provided as part of a laundry operation and can be utilized in industrial and commercial applications.

SYSTEMS COMPRISING A BLEACHING AGENT AND ENCAPSULATES

A multi-composition system that includes a first composition having a bleaching system, and a second composition having core-in-shell encapsulates, where the shell includes acrylate material, and where the core includes a benefit agent. Related methods of treating a fabric.
