Additive compositions for pigmented disinfection and methods thereof
The invention provides to a powdered composition of additives and a method of use thereof for increasing the visibility, potency and coverage of disinfectant solutions, such as bleach.
MICROWAVE ASSISTED METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SURFACE DECONTAMINATION
Disclosed are microwave assisted methods and systems for decontaminating a variety of contaminated surfaces. The systems and methods comprise treating the surfaces with benign chemical formulations followed by exposing to microwave irradiation for short periods of time to achieve at least 6-log reduction in biological contaminants including spores of B. anthracis, B. thuringiensis, and P. roqueforti. Chemical formulations may comprise copper (II) chloride in water. The formulations may include a surfactant such as a polyethylene sorbitol ester surfactant.
Systems and methods for using solid high-level disinfection chemistries to produce disinfectant solutions
Systems and methods for using solid high-level disinfection chemistries to producing disinfectant solutions. In an embodiment, an apparatus comprises: a first container and a second container. The first container is configured to receive water, sodium percarbonate and tetraacetylethylenediamine. The water, the sodium percarbonate, the tetraacetylethylenediamine react within the first container to produce a mixture comprising peroxyacetic acid. The second container is in fluid communication with the first container, wherein the second container is configured to receive an acid and the mixture. The mixture and the acid mix in the second container to produce a disinfectant solution having a pH between 5.0 and 7.0.
Precursor polyelectrolyte complex compositions in dual chamber dispensing system
The invention relates to compositions and methods of treatment employing compositions comprising polyelectrolyte complexes. The compositions include a water-soluble first polyelectrolyte bearing a net cationic charge or capable of developing a net cationic charge and a water-soluble second polyelectrolyte bearing a net anionic charge or capable of developing a net anionic charge. The total polyelectrolyte concentration of the first solution is at least 110 millimolar. The composition is free of coacervates, precipitates, latex particles, synthetic block copolymers, silicone copolymers, cross-linked poly(acrylic) and cross-linked water-soluble polyelectrolyte. The composition may be a concentrate, to be diluted prior to use to treat a surface.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING SOIL FROM SURFACES
The present invention relates to an aqueous composition for removing soils from a surface to be cleaned, formed from water, a detergent mixture and a rinse aid, wherein the detergent mixture comprises a peroxidation catalyst and wherein the rinse aid comprises an oxygen source. Such a composition may provide a more effective cleaning behaviour. The present invention further relates to a method for removing soil from a surface to be cleaned comprising applying to the surface to be cleaned a composition according to the invention.
Liquid detergent composition comprising suspended solid particles
A liquid detergent composition may have a continuous liquid phase and solid particles dispersed in the continuous phase. The continuous phase may be transparent or translucent. The solid particles may be made of a polymeric matrix material, have a diameter ranging from about 0.8 to about 8 mm, and may include a plurality of microcapsules. The plurality of microcapsules may be dispersed in the polymeric matrix material. The microcapsules may have a diameter ranging from about 4 to about 70 70 μm. Use of and methods of use of such a liquid composition are also described.
FERRATE COMPOSITIONS FOR SURFACE DISINFECTION
Methods for disinfecting a surface are provided which include contacting a surface with a solution comprising Fe(VI)O.sub.4.sup.2−, thereby disinfecting the surfaces. In some cases, the surface to be contacted with the solution is in a space suitable for human occupancy and the surface is arranged in the ambient of the space. In addition, solutions comprising Fe(VI)O.sub.4.sup.2− are provided. The solutions may additionally include a hypohalite salt and a surfactant.
Compositions and Methods for Use in Surface Decontamination
The disclosure provides compositions and methods for making a colorized solution of an aqueous disinfectant that is both stable in bulk solution and will fade to clear within a predetermined period of time after being applied to a surface, for example as a spray or film. The compositions and methods described here allow an end user to visualize both the extent of coverage and the duration of contact of the disinfectant with the surface, thereby providing more efficient disinfection of the surface.
CLEANING COMPOSITION
Polishing compositions are disclosed for simultaneously removing particles from a surface that has been polished using a CMP slurry comprising a polishing rate accelerator and removing a pad stain from a polishing pad that has been contacted with a CMP slurry comprising a polishing rate accelerator.
Cleaning compositions for post-CMP cleaning of semiconductor surfaces, comprise one or more reducing agents, a particle removal agent, a surfactant, and a base. When one or more reducing agents yields a standard reduction potential of less than 1.224 V, the cleaning composition of the present disclosure is able to remove a MnO.sub.2 pad stain from a polishing pad and reduce defects on a polished surface (by removing particles).
PERACID BOOSTER
Aqueous compositions having an acidic pH comprise a primary organic acid, an ancillary organic acid that is different from the primary organic acid and a biodispersant. The aqueous compositions can be added to peracid containing disinfectant/sanitizer solutions to increase efficacy of peracids contained therein against microorganisms and/or biofilms.
