ENCAPSULATION COMPOSITIONS
An encapsulation composition is described. The composition comprises a plurality of capsules, each capsule comprising an amphiphilic material encapsulating a pyrethroid. The encapsulated pyrethroid has a release rate less than the release rate of the unencapsulated pyrethroid. Coated fabric products are also described.
MATERIAL CONTAINING SOLID BLEACHING AGENT, AND DETERGENT COMPOSITION
A stabilized solid bleaching agent which has good solubility in water without undergoing the occurrence of foaming and without generating residues has been demanded. The present invention provides a stabilized solid-bleaching-agent-containing material having a coating layer formed therein, wherein the coating layer contains at least one component selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid, an alkali metal salt of a non-cyclic dicarboxylic acid, an alkali metal salt of a non-cyclic monocarboxylic acid having 1 to 7 carbon atoms and mixtures thereof.
Automatic dishwashing cleaning composition
An automatic dishwashing cleaning composition including a dispersant polymer and a surface-modification surface-substantive polymer wherein the composition leaves glass after being washed with the composition in an automatic dishwasher with a contact angle with deionised water of less than about 50 and wherein the surface-modification surface-substantive polymer has a rivulet forming effect on water drainage from glass.
DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to polypeptides having hexosaminidase activity, and polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides as well as methods of producing and using the polypeptides.
Method of washing textile articles
A method of washing textile articles can be carried out, for example, in a continuous batch tunnel washer. Embodiments of the present method can include treating the textile with an aqueous composition including cleaning agent and halogen-containing bleaching agent for a time sufficient to remove soil from the textile and contacting the halogen-treated textile with an aqueous composition including a peroxycarboxylic acid. The concentration of halogen after the sufficient time can be at a level that does not result in adverse interaction between the halogen-containing bleaching agent and the peroxycarboxylic acid. Embodiments of the present method can clean textiles with the results of more effective stain removal and less waste through destruction of the textile article. Further, the present invention can clean a textile contacted soiled by a composition including chlorhexidine gluconate without resulting staining of the textile, which staining could have been permanent.
Portable washing kit and washing method
A holder is formed of a single sheet, and includes two folding portions located at a predetermined distance in its longitudinal direction. The holder is folded in three by being divided by the two folding portions into a first holder-sheet portion, a second holder-sheet portion, and a third holder-sheet portion arranged in a stated order. A holding portion being a slit that holds a detergent packet, a rinse packet, and a support sheet is formed in the first holder-sheet portion.
LIQUID LAUNDRY COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a liquid laundry composition comprising: between 1 wt. % and 15 wt. % of an oxygen-based bleach, based on the total weight of the composition; between 0.001 wt. % and 10 wt. % of a homopolymer of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (PVP), based on the total weight of the composition; wherein the weight ratio of the homopolymer of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone to the oxygen-based bleach is higher than 0.009:1. It also relates to a method of washing a garment using the laundry composition and to the use of the laundry composition for the removal of stains from a garment, and preferably dye transfer reduction or inhibition from a garment.
METHOD FOR OFF-LINE CLEANING OF COOLING TOWERS
A method of cleaning a cooling water system is disclosed. The method may include contacting a cooling tower fill with a composition that may include a surfactant and an additive selected from an oxidizing agent, an acid, and any combination thereof when the cooling water system is off-line. The method may include contacting a deposit in the cooling tower fill with the composition. The oxidizing agent may be hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, ozone, sodium hypobromite, sodium or potassium permanganate, or any combination thereof. The surfactant may include a C.sub.8-C.sub.10 alkyl polyglycoside and a C.sub.10-C.sub.18 alkyl polyglycoside.
Drain formulation for enhanced hair dissolution
The invention relates to drain cleaning compositions including relatively high concentrations of a hypochlorite oxidizing agent and a hydroxide (e.g., 4 to 12% and 2.5 to 10%, respectively. The composition further includes a surfactant (e.g., a surfactant blend, water, and exhibits a very high pH (e.g., at least 13). The composition is monophasic, even at high oxidizing and hydroxide concentrations. The surfactant may include a blend of an uncharged surfactant (e.g., an amphoteric surfactant or nonionic surfactant) and a charged surfactant (e.g., anionic, cationic, or a surfactant that becomes so under the high pH conditions of the composition). The ratio of charged to uncharged surfactant may be at least 1:10, e.g., from 1:10 to about 1:50.
ADDITIVE COMPOSITIONS FOR PIGMENTED DISINFECTION AND METHODS THEREOF
The invention provides to a powdered composition of additives and a method of use thereof for increasing the visibility, potency and coverage of disinfectant solutions, such as bleach.
