A substrate and consumer products made therefrom are provided. The substrate includes a surface and a water-soluble polymer zone disposed on and in contact with the surface. The water-soluble polymer zone includes a freshening active, a water-soluble, film-forming polymer, and a surfactant.

Peroxide dispersions

The viscosity of aqueous dispersions of normally solid organic peroxides may be advantageously lowered through the use of surfactants which are polyglyceryl esters of C6-C12 fatty acids. The reduction in viscosity facilitates milling the peroxides to reduce particle size and also provides dispersions of small particle size peroxides which may be readily poured or pumped. The aqueous dispersions are useful as components of pharmaceutical, personal care, and cleaning products and the like and are effective decolorizing agents for food products, industrial products and the like.

Releasable encapsulation compositions

A releasable encapsulation composition is described. The composition comprises a plurality of capsules, each capsule comprising an amphiphilic material encapsulating a substance, such as an active ingredient. The substance is releasable from encapsulation by a change in the amphiphilic material triggered by a change in the environment around the capsule.

The solid compositions employ a C6-C18 fatty acid binding system for improving shelf stability of an activated bleach composition containing a peroxygen source and a bleach activating agent. Methods of formulating and methods of use are further provided.

The present invention concerns a composition comprising Mn(II) acetate, a protonated salt of a cyclic triamine, a polysaccharide absorbent, and a water-soluble polymer, e.g. polyvinylalcohol. The invention also concerns a method of making such compositions, preferably in the form of a granule, and bleaching formulations comprising the salt and a peroxy compound or precursor thereof. The protonated ligand salt and Mn(II) acetate containing composition and formulations comprising it, are suitable for use in catalysing oxidation, for example as a component of a laundry or dishwasher bleaching composition. The invention further relates to cleaning agents comprising the compositions described herein.

An automatic dishwashing detergent composition can include an alkoxylated polyalkyleneimine said alkoxylated polyalkyleneimine including a polyalkyleneimine backbone, alkoxy chains and quaternization groups wherein the alkoxylated polyalkyleneimine has a degree of quaternization of from about 40% to about 98% and wherein the polyalkyleneimine backbone represents from about 1% to about 40% by weight of the alkoxylated polyalkyleneimine and the alkoxy chains represent from about 60% to about 99% by weight of the alkoxylated polyalkyleneimine; percarbonate bleach; an amylase and a protease; and wherein the composition is free of bleach activator and bleach catalyst, or wherein the composition is free of bleach activator and includes manganese bleach catalyst.

This invention relates to a bleaching composition comprising hypochlorite-based bleach particles and moisture-sensitive particles encapsulating an oil within starch or starch-derivative matrix, the composition being surprisingly stable toward degradation of the starch upon storage.
