FORMULATION DELIVERY SYSTEM HAVING A SOLID CHEMISTRY
A formulation delivery system configured for outdoor use. The formulation delivery system includes a cleaning composition comprising chlorine, wherein the composition is in a form of a solid chemistry, and an outdoor cleaning device that is a spray wand having the cleaning composition positioned within a dispensing cartridge housed within the outdoor cleaning device.
BURSTABLE SPORICIDAL CLEANING WIPE SYSTEM FOR C. DIFFICILE SPORES
Sanitizing and disinfecting compositions with relatively low levels of free available chlorine, with good effectiveness against microbes, included in a burstable pouch of a system also including a plurality of initially undosed (e.g., dry) wipes in a resealable package thereof. The composition may include less than 0.5% by weight hypochlorite or other free available chlorine level, with a pH less than 12. The composition is long term stable in the pouch, but upon bursting of the pouch and dosing of the wipes, exhibits only short-term stability. Because of the low level of hypochlorite, the dosed wipes exhibit improved surface compatibility and negligible bleach odor, while providing at least a 3-log reduction in C. diff population within 10 minutes.
Method Of Washing In An Automatic Laundry Machine And Machine Configured For The Method
A method of washing in an automatic laundry machine having a wash tank, including the following steps: delivering a first composition comprising a bleach composition to the tank in a first step; delivering a second composition comprising at least one surfactant composition to the tank in a second step; delivering a third composition comprising at least one enzyme to the tank in a third step; wherein water is added to the wash tank at the same time or after the first step but prior to the third step; the temperature of the water in the wash tank is elevated before, during or after the first step and/or the second step; and the temperature of the water in the wash tank is subsequently reduced before the third step.
METHODS OF WASHING STITCHBONDED NONWOVEN TOWELS USING A SOIL RELEASE POLYMER
A method of cleaning a soiled stitchbonded nonwoven towel, to provide hygienically-clean, odor-free towels having a non-durable soil release polymer agents on the fabrics and stitching. The method has a step of washing soiled stitchbonded nonwoven towels in a first aqueous wash solution formed from a first wash composition comprising a surfactant, a builder, an alkalinity source, and a soil release polymer, at a first alkaline pH, and at a first wash temperature sufficient to clean soil on the towels without redeposition of the soil back onto the towels or into the washing apparatus once the residual wash solution is drained. The method also has a step of treating the washed towels in a treatment solution formed from a post-wash composition comprising a soil release polymer agent, at a temperature and pH sufficient to aid in exhausting soil release polymer from the treatment solution and onto the towels or fabrics.
Sulfonated copolymers for detergent composition
The present invention relates to a mixture of sulfonated copolymers for detergent compositions which mixture of copolymers offer chelating capability as well as the ability to remain soluble in aqueous environments.
Bleaching apparatus and bleaching method of clothes
A bleaching apparatus has an immersing vessel for immersing clothes in a chemical liquid, and a light source for irradiating the clothes immersed in the immersing vessel with light. The chemical liquid may include an oxidizing agent or a reducing agent in a concentration of 3 to 30% owf. The illumination intensity of the light is 10,000 to 70,000 lx.
METHODS FOR REDUCING WATER CONSUMPTION, CARBON EMISSIONS AND CHEMICAL USAGE
A method for reducing water consumption in a toilet system comprises adding a water-soluble pellet to the toilet bowl prior to or following use of said toilet for urination, the pellet comprising a colourant and a fragrance for masking the colour and odour of urine residing in the toilet bowl, and preferably also disintegrant and/or an effervescent system that effervesces on contact with water, and refraining from flushing said toilet until after said toilet has been used at least one further time. The use of such water-soluble pellets serves to reduce the perceived need to flush the toilet after every use and drives positive change against wasteful water usage. The pellets are small, for example 8 mm or less in diameter and weigh 0.1-0.3 g, and can be stored in a re-sealable, refillable, reusable dispenser for personal or larger scale use. The method also serves to reduce carbon emissions and chemical usage arising from treatment of fresh and waste water.
POLYELECTROLYTE COMPLEXES
The present invention relates to aqueous compositions of associative polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs), optionally containing surfactants, biocidal agents and/or oxidants, which can provide surface protection to treated articles including reduced soiling tendency, reduced cleaning effort and improved soil repellancy, as well as providing bacteriostatic properties to treated surfaces that thereby gain resistance to water, environmental exposure and microbial challenge. Treatment means and compositions are provided that employ associative polyelectrolyte complexes formed by combining a water soluble cationic first polyelectrolyte with a water soluble second polyelectrolyte bearing groups of opposite charge to the first polyelectrolyte under suitable mixing conditions where the one polyelectrolyte present in molar excess is added in the form of a first aqueous solution during a mixing step to a second aqueous solution comprising the oppositely charged polyelectrolyte present in molar deficiency. Also provided are means to form stable associative polyelectrolyte complexes in aqueous solutions having R values from about 0.10 to 20, including near stoichiometric R values approaching 1, being the ratio of charged groups present on the component polyelectrolytes employed.
Intercalated bleach compositions, related methods of manufacture and use
The invention relates to compositions, methods of use, and methods of manufacture for an intercalated bleach compound and compositions thereof. The intercalated bleach compound has the formula M.sub.x(OCl).sub.y(O).sub.m(OH).sub.n where M is an alkaline earth metal such as magnesium, calcium or mixture thereof. The values of x and y independently equal any number greater than or equal to 1 (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), and m and n independently equal any number greater than or equal to 0 (e.g., 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), but m and n are not both 0. In addition, the molar ratio of the alkaline earth metal (e.g., magnesium or calcium) to hypochlorite is at least 3:1. In other words, x is 3y. The compounds exhibit excellent stability, little or no chlorine bleach odor, exhibit excellent pH buffering characteristics, and less reactivity with organic materials as compared to alternative chlorine bleach products.
