Composition
A dishwasher detergent composition, preferably pH neutral, and comprising a strong biodegradable builder and optionally a bleach, and optionally a sulfonated polymer.
CHLORINATED SOLID BLEACHING COMPOSITION WHICH PROTECTS THE FIBRE
The present invention relates to a solid bleaching composition comprising at least one chlorinated bleaching and detergent agent selected among the dichloroisocyanurates and at least one optical brightener, characterised in that the pH of said composition is between 5 and 9, and in that the dissolution time of said composition in an aqueous solution is between 30 seconds and 20 minutes. The present invention likewise relates to the use of such a composition for bleaching a fabric, while protecting the textile fibres, as well as disinfecting and washing same.
N-SUBSTITUTED 2-(6-HYDROXY-3-OXO-3H-XANTHENE-9-YL)BENZAMIDES AS PHOTOACTIVATORS IN DETERGENTS
N-substituted 2-(6-hydroxy-3-oxo-3H-xanthen-9-yl) benzamides are capable of generating bleach-active species when irradiated with visible light, these species leading to an enhanced bleaching power during the washing of textiles.
TARGETED PERFORMANCE OF HYPOHALITE METHODS THEREOF
This invention relates to extend the benefits of using hypochlorite compounds such as sodium hypochlorite to clean and disinfect articles while reducing or eliminating the side effects of treating an article with a strong oxidant material. The invention relates to a single step process involving mixing of precursor compositions of a suitable hypohalite or hypohalous acid with a solution of a reducing agent. Optionally a buffer may be present in either or both precursor compositions, such that at time of use such active hypohalous acid concentration in the resulting aqueous mixture remains at a sufficient activity level to effect one or more desired benefits against a target substrate for a desired period of time. The oxidant is substantially consumed by reaction with the reducing agent after the time needed for achieving the desired benefit has passed.
Textile bleaching and disinfecting using the mixture of hydrophilic and hydrophobic peroxycarboxylic acid composition
Liquid peroxycarboxylic acid laundry compositions, namely bleaching and disinfecting compositions combining mixed peroxycarboxylic acids to provide synergistic efficacy are disclosed. Methods of using the liquid peroxycarboxylic acid laundry compositions for low temperatures and a use pH with detergent and water from about 6 to about 10 are also disclosed. Beneficially, the liquid peroxycarboxylic acid laundry compositions and methods of using the same do not include sulfonated peroxycarboxylic acids and sulfonated carboxylic acid, such as peroxy sulfonated oleic acid/sulfonated oleic acid (PSOA/SOA).
ANTHRACENE-9,10-DIONE DERIVATIVES AS PHOTOACTIVATORS IN DETERGENTS
Anthracene-9,10-dione derivatives are capable of producing bleach-active species under irradiation of visible light, which lead to an increase of the bleaching power during the washing of textiles.
Detergents capable of cleaning, bleaching, sanitizing and/or disinfecting textiles including sulfoperoxycarboxylic acids
The present invention relates to novel combined laundry detergent, bleach, and antimicrobial composition incorporating novel sulfoperoxycarboxylic acid compounds, and methods for making and using them. The sulfoperoxycarboxylic compounds used in compositions of the invention are storage stable, water soluble and have low to no odor. Compositions of the invention may be in the form of a liquid, a solid, or a gel. The sulfoperoxycarboxylic compounds useful in preparing compositions of the present invention can be formed from non-petroleum based renewable materials.
Detergent composition comprising detersive surfactant and graft polymer
A detergent composition includes a detersive surfactant and a graft polymer.
Methods and compositions for the generation of peracetic acid on site at the point-of-use
Methods for the generation of non-equilibrium solutions of peroxyacetic acid are disclosed. These methods comprise introducing triacetin and aqueous hydrogen peroxide to water, mixing, and then adding an aqueous source of an alkali metal or earth alkali metal hydroxide. Triacetin is converted rapidly and with a high conversion rate into peracetic acid. These methods produce solutions with a high level of peracetic acid.
