A method for formulating a composition contains the step of coating a granular absorbent material with a coating agent to produce a coated absorbent material and mixing the coated absorbent material with a sanitation agent, wherein the coated absorbent material absorbs the sanitation agent to form the liquid loading composition. Liquid-loading compositions that can absorb liquids in many applications, including clean-up and farming, are also disclosed.

A detergent concentrate includes: (i) 22 to 46% by weight alkali metal hydroxide, (ii) 5 to 50% by weight dispersing agent, chelating agent or a combination thereof, (iii) 0 to 5% by weight tenside, (iv) 0 to 5% by weight excipients and (v) 28 to 39% by weight water, wherein the detergent concentrate is a suspension. Methods of cleaning-in-place are contemplated whereby a suspension is introduced into a mechanical system containing contaminated surfaces. The solid-phase particles suspended within the suspension are functional to at least partially clean the contamination. Following the at least partial cleaning, the suspension may be purged from the mechanical system. In this way, it may be seen that modalities of decontamination may be achieved which may be operative to decontaminate many types and degrees of contamination for which it may not be feasible to decontaminate via conventional methods of decontamination.
