A method for making a bed having a mattress is disclosed. The method includes permanently attaching a mattress assembly to the mattress, removably attaching a sheet assembly to the mattress assembly, the sheet assembly including a first sheet member, which includes a fluid barrier layer, and a second sheet member, and blocking fluid using the fluid barrier layer from moving from the sheet assembly to the mattress assembly when the sheet assembly is removably attached to the mattress assembly.

A system is provided for facilitating the lifting and rotation of a mattress with respect to a box spring or platform. The system includes a first and second layer of material attached in a manner to form an expandable air volume. The expandable air volume may be disposed between an underside of the mattress and a top side of the box spring or platform. The system may also include one or more holes and one or more adjustable openings in the first or second layers. The system may also include an air inlet nozzle in fluid communication with the expandable air volume. The expandable air volume may lift the mattress with respect to the box spring or platform under the influence of an external air supply in fluid communication with the air inlet nozzle such that the mattress may be rotated with respect to the box spring or platform.

A device is disclosed for facilitating rotation of a mattress. In order to facilitate rotation, an expandable volume creates an air cushion between the mattress and the box spring under the influence of an air supply which lifts the mattress and allows the mattress to be rotated. One or more covers, which may include a slick surface, may be provided that incorporate or operate in conjunction with the expandable volume. In some examples, the expandable volume and/or the slick surface may be incorporated into the mattress, or box spring or platform.

The present application discloses an improved top sheet, referred to as Top Pocket Sheet (TPS). The TPS comprises a pocket for holding a comforter or blanket so that the comforter or blanket stays with the top sheet during a night of sleep. The pocket can be permanently or temporarily formed. The pocket can be secured to the top sheet via different means.

A mattress cover includes a fabric substrate having a top surface, a bottom surface, a head portion, a foot portion, a first length, and a first width, a secret tuck portion attached to the foot portion on the bottom surface of the fabric substrate, the secret tuck portion having a second length and a second width. The second width is less than the first width. A method of making a mattress cover includes providing a fabric substrate having a top surface, a bottom surface, a head portion, a foot portion, a first length, and a first width, and attaching a secret tuck portion to the foot portion on the bottom surface of the fabric substrate, the secret tuck portion having a second length and a second width. The second width is less than the first width.

A system is disclosed for facilitating maneuvering of a mattress with respect to a foundation. Systems may include two separate covers; a single cover; a single cover in combination with a surface embedded in the mattress or foundation; or embedded surfaces in the mattress and the foundation. One or more of the covers may include a slick surface, and one or more of the embedded surfaces may be a slick surface, to facilitate maneuvering of the mattress.

A roll-out disposable bedding assembly, and a bed that uses that disposable bedding assembly, includes a bedding roll comprised of disposable bi-layered bedding materials, first and second mounting bracket assemblies, and a support axle. The first and second mounting bracket assemblies and support axle secure the bedding roll to a bed. The bedding roll is comprised of rolled up, sequentially attached rectangular bedding sections, at least one of which has a bi-layered construction of an upper sheet and a lower sheet. That bedding section is attached to adjacent bedding sections along perforated edges. The upper sheet and lower sheet are removably affixed to each other along parallel perforated side edges. The bottoms of the upper sheet and lower sheet are permanently affixed together. A pillowcase is disposed between the upper and lower sheet.

A system is disclosed for facilitating rotation of a mattress in a horizontal plane carried by a box spring or a platform. Surfaces between the mattress and the box spring or platform are selectively placed in engagement with each other. The surfaces may be provided by two separate covers; a single cover and the inherent surface roughness of the box spring or fixed or adjustable platform; a single cover with an embedded surface or no covers with embedded surfaces in both the mattress and the box spring or platform. In the latter embodiment, the mattress and the box spring or platform are secured together in a normal mode of operation to prevent unintended movement of the mattress.

Various sheet configurations that improve mattress fit are described. For example, sheets having elastic corners, gripping mechanisms, and faceted side panels are provided that enhance sheet-to-mattress fit. The features employed by some or all of the versions of the sheet described herein enhance interconnection of the sheet onto the mattress, wherein sheets securely interconnect to mattresses having rounded corners or maintain fit with mattresses that have portions that selectively move.

A clamp is provided. The clamp has a first member, a second member, and a biasing element assembly pivotally connecting the first member to the second member. A first end of the first member can be pivoted to a position that is essentially adjacent to a second end of the second member and locked into place. A first slot is formed on a first surface of a first cushion. A second slot is formed on the second surface of a second cushion. A first member of a clamp is inserted into the first slot and a second member of the clamp into the second slot, so that a portion of at least one layer of bed covering materials can be positioned between the clamp first member and the clamp second member when the first member is locked into place.
