Compositions for cleaning and decontamination
Provided among other things is a cleaning composition comprising: a carrier fluid; and Minute Fibrils suspended in the carrier fluid, wherein the composition is protein cleaning effective.
Method of making an opacified liquid detergent composition using a divalent cation solution
A method of making an opacified liquid detergent composition is disclosed. The method includes the steps of combining at least one anionic surfactant, a fatty acid, and water to form a mixture having a transparent optical appearance, then adding divalent cations to the mixture, and opacifying the mixture as the divalent cations interact with the fatty acid to form the opacified liquid detergent composition in the absence of a microplastic opacifier. The opacified liquid detergent composition having a turbidity value of greater than about 250 turbidity units (NTUs) measured utilizing a turbidity meter at about 24° C.
POLYMER COMPOSITION, WHICH IS SUITABLE AS ANTI-GREYING AGENT IN DETERGENT FORMULATIONS
Disclosed herein are aqueous polymer compositions, which are obtainable by radical copolymerization in water; a process for producing the aqueous polymer compositions; a method of using the aqueous polymer compositions as an anti-greying additive in washing or laundry; a method of using the aqueous polymer compositions as an anti-greying additive in liquid laundry detergent formulations or gel-type laundry detergent formulations; and a liquid laundry detergent formulation or gel-type laundry detergent formulation, which contains at least one aqueous polymer composition.
Viscoelastic, solid-state surfactant composition having a high surfactant content
A viscoelastic, solid-state surfactant composition for textile treatment, containing based on the total weight thereof (i) a total amount of 10% to 70% by weight of at least one surfactant, (ii) a total amount of more than 1% by weight of at least one benzylidene alditol compound of formula (I), and (iii) water, constitutes an easily soluble, aesthetically pleasing and storage-stable form of a solid-state composition for providing surfactant-containing liquors.
PROCESS FOR USING SWELLABLE and COLLAPSIBLE LIPOPHILIC SUPER-ABSORBENT POLYMER GELS TO CLEAN SURFACES
Lipophilic super-absorbent swelling gels have been developed that will not only absorb the oil and grease from these machine parts, but will also act as an automated sweeper due to the self-generating mechanical force of the gel. An octadecylacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (ODA-co-EGDMA) tetraalkylammonium tetraphenylborate lipophilic polyelectrolyte gel (EG-18) and poly(stearylacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) (SA-co-EGDMA) neutral gel (NG-18) were evaluated for swelling and oil sorption capacity. NG-18 and EG-18 gels removed particulate contaminants and absorbed oils and grease on metal and non-metal surfaces without causing abrasion. The gels are also recyclable. The cleaning ability of the gels was compared with the standard solvent cleaner trichloroethylene (TCE) following ASTM G122-96(2008) test methods and MIL-PRF-680B procedure with MIL-PRF-10924 test grease. Polymer gel cleaners exhibited analogous extent and rate of cleaning as the TCE. These recyclable superabsorbent polymer cleaners will allow drastic reduction in the use of VOC containing solvents and HAP release.
STABLE LIQUID DETERGENT COMPOSITION CONTAINING A SELF-STRUCTURING SURFACTANT SYSTEM
A self-structuring surfactant system. A stable liquid detergent composition containing the same. A liquid detergent composition that includes a linear alkyl benzene sulfonate and a branched nonionic surfactant that is a branched alkoxylated alkyl alcohol.
Adhesive agent for application on a sanitary object
Agent for sanitary facilities that can be applied directly on the sanitary object, adheres, and is flushable only after a large number of flushes. The agent includes fillers from the group of surfactants and a bonding agent, wherein the bonding agent is selected from the group of polyalkylene derivatives, hydrogentated polystyrol derivatives, copolymers from the group of monoalkyl esters of poly(methyl vinyl ether/carbonic acid anhydrides, olefin homopolymers, and copolymers of two or more olefins, wherein the olefin homopolymers and copolymers can also be partially hydrogenated, partially oxidized, or further functionalized by graft molecules, and from the group of polyalkyleneimines, including in alkoxylized form, polyetheramines (alkoxylized amines) and polyglycerin polyether alkyl carbonic acids, polymers or derivatives including such polymer groups.
DETERGENT COMPOSITION
A detergent composition comprising an enzyme and a bleaching compound and comprising two or more distinct regions, wherein the enzyme is located in a first distinct region and the bleaching compound is located in a second distinct region and further wherein a builder comprising an amino acid based compound and/or succinate based compound is located in the first distinct region. The compositions exhibit improved stability of the enzyme.
MULTI-LAYER SELF-ADHESIVE GEL AND APPLICATOR
Provided is a multi-layer self-adhesive gel suitable for use in cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, and/or scenting of toilets, sinks, wash-bowls, bathtubs, showers, and for delivery of shower gel or shampoo in the shower, bathtub or wash-bowl. The multi-layer self-adhesive gel has at least two different self-adhesive gel layers. One gel layer (A) includes at least one solvent (a1), at least one adhesion promoter (b1) which is different from (a1), and at least one surfactant (c1) which is different from (a1) and (b1). Another gel layer (B) includes at least one solvent (a2), at least one adhesion promoter (b2) which is different from (a2). When the multi-layer self-adhesive gel is applied onto a flat surface of a substrate, (A) and (B) together have a continuous, essentially even surface, remote from the surface of the substrate.
