Toilet rim block and rim block cage

A toilet rim block which consists of an outer cover and a core, and to a rim block cage including the toilet rim block. The outer cover includes a first composition and the core includes a second composition. Preferably, the first and the second compositions differ from each other by at least one of the following features: different active substances, different concentration but same active substance, and different viscosity. The outer cover partly encloses the core, and the core protrudes on at least two faces of the toilet rim block right to the surface as a pole and is exposed. The toilet rim block is spherical and the second pole protrudes to the surface on the face of the toilet rim block opposite the first pole, and is exposed.

The core is shaped such that the surface of the exposed area changes upon even wear of the surface of the toilet rim block, the surface of the exposed area of the core increasing upon even wear of the surface of the toilet rim block.

Cleaning gel with glycine betaine ester and nonionic surfactant mixture

Provided are self-adhering cleaning compositions that may include (a) an adhesion promoter, (b) a glycine betaine ester, and (c) water. Commonly, the adhesion promoter may include at least one compound including one or more polyalkoxy groups and the glycine betaine ester may be a compound of formula (I): Me.sub.3N.sup.+CH.sub.2C(O)OR X.sup. (I) wherein R is an aliphatic group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms and X represents an inorganic or organic anion. Typically, the composition is a gel and may have a gel melt temperature of about 55-80 C., a viscosity at 25 C. of at least about 150,000 cP, and/or a hardness of at least about 150 g. Methods for treating a hard surface, such as a toilet bowl, using the self-adhering cleaning compositions are also provided.

BLEACH DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TOILET BIOFILM DISINFECTION

Cleaning tools for cleaning toilets, particularly the interior of a toilet bowl, where bleach is provided within the cleaning tool itself, e.g., in a disposable, single use cleaning head. The tool may include a handle, a cleaning head attachable to the handle, a nonwoven material having an exterior surface and an interior surface, and a solid cleaning composition stored adjacent to the interior surface of the nonwoven material. The solid cleaning composition includes solid bleach, and may also include a solid surfactant. The cleaning composition may be confined within the nonwoven material (e.g., in a pouch), but upon contact with water, dissolved cleaning composition is able to migrate through the nonwoven material, through a scrubbing layer, and be delivered to the surface being cleaned. Release may achieve at least a 3-log reduction in Staphylococcus aureus within 5 minutes.

SCENT SWITCH DEVICE

The present invention relates to a device releasing substances in a controllable and changing way, particularly the present invention relates to the configuration of such a device (1) and the inner portion (2) of such device and to the use of such device to provide the release of the substances to the surrounding environment in a targeted way.

Cleaning gel with glycine betaine amide/nonionic surfactant mixture

Cleaning compositions, which commonly are self-adherent gels, are provided. The cleaning compositions include (a) adhesion promoter, (b) glycine betaine amide, and (c) water. The glycine betaine amide is a compound of formula (I); where R is an aliphatic group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms and X represents an inorganic or organic anion. The adhesion promoter includes at least one compound including one or more polyalkoxy groups. The adhesion promoter may also include polysaccharide and/or synthetic polymer resin. Gel forms of the cleaning compositions typically have a gel melt temperature of at least about 55 C. and a viscosity at 25 C. of at least about 150,000 cP. ##STR00001##

Cleaning composition that provides residual benefits

A composition for use on a hard surface. The composition has: (i) at least 7.5 wt. % of at least one surfactant selected; (ii) a blend of linear primary alcohols, or a blend of ethoxylated linear primary alcohols, wherein each alcohol of the non-ethoxylated blend or ethoxylated blend includes a carbon chain containing 9-17 carbons; (iii) a transport rate factor of less than about 55 seconds; and (iv) an adhesion time of greater than about 8 hours.
