Solid Fragrance-Containing Composition

A solid, particulate composition having at least one water-soluble carrier material, at least one fragrance and at least one water-miscible organic solvent, wherein the carrier material is a water-containing salt (hydrate) whose water vapor partial pressure at a specific temperature in the range from 30 to 100 C. corresponds to the H.sub.2O partial pressure of the saturated solution of this salt, such that the salt melts at this temperature in its own crystal water. The invention further relates to processes for producing the solid composition, and to a washing or cleaning product including the solid composition. In addition, the present invention also relates to the use of a washing or cleaning product of this kind for cleaning of textiles or hard surfaces, and corresponding methods of cleaning textiles or hard surfaces using a washing or cleaning product of this kind.

A detergent bar comprising from 0.01 to 1 wt % polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of at least 100,000 and at least one of: (a) from 0.01 to 5 wt % polyacrylic acid having a molecular weight from 1,000 to 20,000; (b) from 0.01 to 1 wt % hydroxypropyl methylcellulose; and (c) from 0.01 to 1 wt % hydroxyethyl cellulose.

Methods of laundering stitchbonded nonwoven towels using a soil release polymer

A method of laundering a soiled stitchbonded nonwoven towel, to provide hygienically-clean, odor-free towels having non-durable soil release polymer agents on the fabrics and stitching is described. The method has a step of washing soiled stitchbonded nonwoven towels in a first aqueous wash solution formed from a first wash composition comprising a surfactant, a builder, an alkalinity source, and a soil release polymer, at a first alkaline pH, and at a first wash temperature sufficient to remove soil on the towels without redeposition of the soil back onto the towels or into the laundry machine once the residual wash solution is drained. The method also has a step of treating the washed towels in a treatment solution formed from a post-wash composition comprising a soil release polymer agent, at a temperature and pH sufficient to aid in exhausting soil release polymer from the treatment solution and onto the towels or fabrics.

Solid controlled release caustic detergent compositions

Solid detergent compositions for dishwashing or warewashing compositions and applications of use are disclosed. In particular, solid caustic-based compositions that do not require a traditional dispenser for controlled rate of release over multiple cycles are disclosed. Compositions, methods of employ and cleaning using the same are disclosed.

SOLID DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF ADJUSTING THE DISPENSE RATE OF SOLID DETERGENTS USING SOLID ANIONIC SURFACTANTS

A method of adjusting dispense rate of a solid detergent block of a detergent composition is described here. A solid detergent block is produced from this method may have a predetermined dispense rate or a comparable dispense rate as a solid detergent block produced by extruding method. A process for producing a solid detergent block and a solid detergent composition are also disclosed.

Solid tablet unit dose oven cleaner

A solidification matrix includes sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, a water charge, an anhydrous metasilicate, a polycarboxylic acid polymer or salt or derivative thereof, and additional functional ingredients. The sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, a water charge, an anhydrous metasilicate, a polycarboxylic acid polymer, and additional functional ingredients interact to form a hydrate solid. The solidification matrix may be used, for example, in a solid detergent composition. Methods of making solid detergent compositions are disclosed.

Solid laundry detergent for restaurant soils

The invention relates to solid detergents for cleaning restaurant soils and methods of making and using the same. Embodiments of the invention can include solid cleaning compositions having an alkalinity source comprising an alkali metal carbonate, a surfactant system comprising an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant, a water conditioning agent, and water. Embodiments of the invention can have a pH between about 7 and about 11, and are suitable for removing restaurant soils, including, synthetic grease, animal grease, and proteinaceous soils.

A solid cleaning composition, the composition including: one or more anionic surfactants, wherein the one or more anionic surfactants constitute 40 wt. % to 90 wt. % of the composition; a cationic biocide, wherein the cationic biocide constitute 0.0001 wt. % to 2 wt. % of the composition; and one or more humectants; wherein the one or more humectants constitute 0.03 wt. % to 35 wt. % of the compositions, the cationic biocide retaining its biocidal activity as demonstrated by a reduction of at least 1.0 log 10 in a standard hand wash test.

Bar compositions comprising C.SUB.10 .soap while minimizing ratio of unsaturated C.SUB.18 .soap to caprate

The invention relates to bar composition comprising minimum floor levels of C.sub.10 soap while minimizing ratio of unsaturated C.sub.18 soap to caprate. Such bars provide enhanced rapid, antibacterial activity. Disclosed is a soap bar composition comprising: a) 25 to 85%, preferably 35 to 75% by weight of C.sub.8 to C.sub.24 fatty acid soap comprising: (i) C10 soap at 8% or 15% or greater, more preferably 16 to 32% by weight of total bar composition; and, (ii) unsaturated C.sub.18 soap, wherein weight ratio of said unsaturated C.sub.18 soap to C.sub.10 (caprate) soap is 1.2 to 0.1. b) 1 to 45% organic and inorganic adjuvant materials by weight of the composition; and, c) 5 to 30%, preferably 13 to 28% water by weight of the composition, wherein excess of C.sub.10 soap to unsaturated C.sub.18 soap is at least 6%.
