MULTI-ZONE TEMPERATURE MODULATION SYSTEM FOR BED OR BLANKET
A temperature modulation system for a bed, blanket, or other furniture includes a fluid for moderating temperature change, a number of conduit circuits for directing the fluid through respective zones, a control unit including a thermoelectric device for modulating temperature of the fluid, and a pump. Each of the conduit circuits selectively and independently directs fluid through its respective zone in order to produce a temperature within the zone that is independent of the temperature outside the zone. The system also includes an arrangement of one or more zones in an arrangement in which the control unit is programmed to vary the zone

Ambient bed having a heat reclaim system
A bedding system is provided that includes a fan box layer having a plurality of ducts, each of the ducts being in communication with a fan configured to move air out of the duct and into an area surrounding the bedding system. A capacitor layer is positioned above the fan box layer. The capacitor layer includes a plurality of outlet ports, each of the outlet ports being in communication with one of the ducts. A mattress layer is positioned above the capacitor layer. The mattress layer includes a bottom portion having a plurality of first holes that are each in communication with at least one of the outlet ports and a top portion having a plurality of second holes that are each in communication with one of the first holes. The top portion defines a sleep surface.

A system for directing fluid flow in a mattress is disclosed. The mattress comprises a base support layer which is configured to spatially locate at least one insert support layer. The insert layer comprises a conduit to allow fluid flow.
BED APPARATUS
A bed apparatus has a housing with an intake duct, a closeable vent, and an exhaust port. The intake duct is configured to intake air from an area outside of a bed. The closeable vent is configured to selectively supply the air to the bed. The exhaust port is configured to selectively return the air to the area outside of the bed. At least one electric fan is disposed within the housing between the closeable vent and the intake duct. In operation, the bed apparatus can be switched from a sound-enrichment-only function, to a sound-enrichment-and-bed-air-delivery function, simply by closing and opening the vent, respectively. The bed apparatus may further include a clamp for securing a bed cover above the housing.

A patient support apparatus includes a support surface including a topper. An opening is formed in a side of the support surface. A cavity extends from the opening into the support surface. An inlet port is positioned within the cavity and fluidly coupled to the topper. A pneumatic blower is configured to removably position within the cavity and has an outlet port that couples to the inlet port.
AMBIENT BED HAVING A HEAT RECLAIM SYSTEM
A bedding system is provided that includes a fan box layer having a plurality of ducts, each of the ducts being in communication with a fan configured to move air out of the duct and into an area surrounding the bedding system. A capacitor layer is positioned above the fan box layer. The capacitor layer includes a plurality of outlet ports, each of the outlet ports being in communication with one of the ducts. A mattress layer is positioned above the capacitor layer. The mattress layer includes a bottom portion having a plurality of first holes that are each in communication with at least one of the outlet ports and a top portion having a plurality of second holes that are each in communication with one of the first holes. The top portion defines a sleep surface.
Bed pad system
A bed pad system having at least two mattress pads covers to form a larger single mattress pad cover. Each of the mattress pad covers is adapted to individually receive a mattress pad. There is at least one connecting tab extending from each of the mattress pad covers. Each connecting tab from each of the mattress pad covers is aligned on the mattress pad cover to match up with the connecting tab of the other mattress pad cover to form the single larger mattress pad cover from the at least two mattress pads covers.
