Smooch n' Snore [TM]: Devices to Create a Plurality of Adjustable Acoustic and/or Thermal Zones in a Bed
This invention is a device which creates adjustable acoustic and/or thermal zones in a bed to address sleep issues such as bed partner snoring and hot flashes. Adjustable acoustic bed zones can be created with a flexible movable partition which longitudinally spans a bed from an arch at the head of the bed to an arch at the foot of the bed. Adjustable thermal bed zones can be created with inflow and outflow flexible longitudinal air tubes which are inserted into a space between layers of bedding.
THREE DIMENSIONAL MATTRESS SYSTEM WITH ENVIRONMENT CONTROL
A three dimensional mattress system with environment control is provided which may be configured to provide three dimensional body support to a user. In some embodiments, the system may include a rigid frame that may form a frame cavity. Optionally, the system may include one or more temperature regulators. A plurality of pillows may be positioned within the frame cavity, and a user may be supported by the plurality of pillows. Optionally, one or more air moving devices may be configured to move air external to the frame through the plurality of pillows, and one or more air filters may be configured to filter air moved by the air moving devices.
AIR SYSTEM FOR A BED
An air system for a bed can include a layer assembly having a head end, a foot end, and first and second sides, with a head portion near the head end, a foot portion near the foot end, and a middle portion between the head portion and the foot portion, the layer assembly. The layer assembly can have a spacer layer comprising spacer material configured to allow for air flow through the spacer material and a cover comprising a cover top layer and a cover bottom layer. The air system can have a distribution manifold that is substantially fan-shaped with a plurality of ribs defining channels and/or is positioned above the cover bottom layer and under the spacer layer. The air system can have first and second flaps with first and second retention features extending from the head and foot ends of the air layer.
USER COMFORT SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS
User comfort systems, devices and methods. In some embodiments, a system for providing comfort for a person can include a wearable patch configured to be attached to a skin of the person and sense a biological condition of the skin. The wearable patch can be further configured to transmit information representative of the sensed biological condition. The system can further include a controller configured to receive the information and generate a control signal, and an adjustment element associated with a furniture item implemented to support and provide comfort for the person. The adjustment element can be in communication with the controller and configured to adjust a comfort level of the furniture item for the person in response to the control signal.
Portable Air Delivering Device For a Bed
A portable air delivering device for a bed is disclosed to provide a better sleeping environment for a user. The portable air delivering device comprises a housing arranged with a plurality of components to deliver air onto the user sleeping on the bed. The plurality of components comprises a pair of retainer clips to hold a covering sheet, a fan to draw an atmospheric air from outside and deliver a stream of the atmospheric air to flow onto the user sleeping under the covering sheet, and a regulator to regulate a speed of the fan. The housing is fixed to a foldable frame. One frame body is placed securely under a bed mattress, so that the other frame body firmly fixes the housing enabling the housing to face the sleep area at foot part of the bed to allow the flow of air onto the user through the covering sheet.
Thermoregulatory manipulation of systemic blood pressure
A system and/or method for proactively inducing a significant drop in blood pressure during sleep is provided herein. The system includes a blood pressure monitor and a stimulating device that provides stimulation to at least a portion of the person's body. For example, the stimulating device may stimulate a portion of the person's body corresponding to the person's peripheral thermoregulatory control tissue. The stimulation increases or maintains blood flow in the person's glabrous tissue. Additionally, the stimulating device provides stimulation in response to the person's blood pressure being above a predetermined threshold.
VENTILATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR AN OUTDOOR PRODUCT, A SLEEPING BAG, AND A CHAIR
The present disclosure discloses a ventilation management system for outdoor products, a sleeping bag, and a chair. The ventilation management system for outdoor products comprises a ventilation chamber, a temperature adjustment device, and a mobile power supply. The ventilation chamber is flexible and integrally arranged on the outdoor products, and a side of the ventilation chamber configured to face a human body comprises a plurality of air outlets. The temperature adjustment device comprises a fan and a control module, and the temperature adjustment device is electrically connected to the mobile power supply. The temperature adjustment device is configured to supply cool or warm air to the ventilation chamber, and the cool or warm air is configured to be blown onto the human body via the plurality of air outlets after entering the ventilation chamber. Each of the sleeping bag and the chair comprises the ventilation management system.
ACTIVE COMFORT CONTROLLED BEDDING SYSTEMS
Active comfort controlled bedding systems and processes include an air blower assembly for variable climate control. The air blower assembly generally includes a unidirectional air blower configured to flow air to and from a mattress surface overlaying the bucket assembly.
Sleeper detection and configuration of sleep environments and learning methods to optimize sleep quality
A bed includes environmental control components, which may be temperature control components and pressure adjustment components in some embodiments. The environmental control components may be configured to provide different sleep environments based on identity of sleepers using or expected to use the bed. A controller may determine a number of sleepers for the bed, identify the sleepers, and determine if there is an expectation of later arrival of sleeper in determining a configuration for the environmental control components in providing a sleep environment for the bed.
Bed microclimate controller
A bed system includes microclimate control capabilities for providing quality sleep experience. The bed system can include a microclimate control subsystem configured to supply conditioned air (e.g., heated or cooled air) to a mattress, or draw ambient air from the mattress, to achieve a desired temperature at the top of the mattress. Utilizing supply of conditioned air to provide air at desired temperature to the mattress system, or utilizing air suction to drain heat away from the mattress system, can provide precise microclimate control at the mattress, thereby permitting conformable sleep.
