ADJUSTABLE SPRING MATTRESS
Various systems and methods for adjusting the firmness of a spring mattress are described herein. Inflation elements having fingers may be coupled with a spring layer of a mattress to provide for inflating or deflating the fingers in the interstitial spaces defined by a group of springs of the mattress. Increasing the fluid pressure inside the fingers increases the lateral pressure on the springs. The increase in lateral pressure in turn increases the force required to compress the springs, ultimately resulting in increasing the firmness of the mattress. Conversely, decreasing the fluid pressure inside the fingers decreases the lateral pressure on the springs, which decreases the firmness of the mattress.
Tubular spring assembly
A tubular spring assembly and a series of tubular spring assemblies for use in beds, chairs, or other cushioned surfaces, the tubular spring assembly having a tubular base member, a tubular second member that partially nests and is slidable within the tubular base member, a spring connecting the two tubular members, a ball joint affixed to the exterior of the second member and a pad attached to the ball joint wherein a series of tubular spring assemblies can be arranged within the interior of a bed, chair, or other cushioned surface to provide widely dispersed pressure onto the user.

DETACHABLE ELASTIC PAD, FURNITURE, AND ASSEMBLING METHOD
A detachable elastic pad for furniture includes a flexible cover and a plurality of elastic modules. The elastic modules are mounted in an array on rail beams on a bottom layer. Each elastic module includes a conical spring and a spring bracket for receiving and holding the conical spring. The detachable elastic pad can be disassembled and reassembled, to replace components.
