Cubicle characteristics may include one or more architectural characteristics selected from the group consisting of: a distance from the initial placement location, a cubicle shape, a cubicle volume, a cubicle position within the housing relative to the channel, an entrance size, and an entrance shape. Cubicle characteristics may also include stimulus characteristics selected from the group consisting of: a wavelength of light, a light intensity, a radioactive radiation intensity, an electromagnetic field, a chemical treatment, a pressure, a sound, and a temperature.

REACTOR HAVING DYNAMIC SPARGER

Systems and methods relating to dynamic spargers for generating fine bubbles within reactors such as biological and chemical reactors. A sparger system is positioned within a reactor and comprises a support plate, multiple annular shrouds engaged with the support plate, and spargers positioned within the annular shrouds defining a gap between an interior surface of the annular shroud and an exterior surface of the corresponding sparger. Liquid flows through the defined gap between an interior surface of the annular shroud and an exterior surface of the sparger. Acceleration of the liquid through the gap shears bubbles at the exterior surface of the sparger creating bubbles or fine bubbles.

DISPOSABLE KIT AND CULTURE VESSEL FOR A BIOPROCESSING SYSTEM

A disposable kit for a bioprocessing system includes a tray having a spine having a first window and a second window, at least one bioprocessing vessel received within the tray, a pinch valve manifold removably received by the spine within the first window, a first tubing segment removably received by the spine within the second window, and a second tubing segment removably received by the spine within the second window.

Automatable methods of horizontal co-culturing of cells using a single separation well microplate are provided. The disclosure also provides improved methods of quantifying secreted factors from cultivated cells, and methods for isolating target cells from organoids in a single separation well microplate.

Methods and systems for culturing microbial and cellular seed cultures
12351788 · 2025-07-08 · ·

A method for culturing a microbial or cellular seed culture includes positioning a first flexible bag within a chamber of a first retainer, the first retainer being secured to a mixer table. A culture is produced within a compartment of the flexible bag, the culture comprising a growth media and a microbial or cellular starter culture added thereto. The mixer table is activated so that the culture is mixed within the compartment of the first flexible bag while the microbes or cells of the culture grow, the culture having a maximum volume of less than 10 liters.

MULTIPORT DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A LOOP TO ONE PORT OF A BIOREACTOR, AND PERFUSION OR CONCENTRATED FED-BATCH SETUP FOR PERFORMING AN UPSTREAM PROCESS OF CELL CULTURE
20250250526 · 2025-08-07 ·

A multiport device for connecting a loop, preferably a tangential flow filtration loop or a sensor loop, to one port of a bioreactor, preferably a single-use bioreactor, is configured to be fixed to the port of the bioreactor. The multiport device includes a first flow path configured for withdrawing fluid from the bioreactor, and a second flow path configured for supplying fluid to the bioreactor. The first flow path has a first end adapted to be in fluid connection with the bioreactor, and a second end adapted to be connected to an inlet of the loop. The second flow path has an outer end adapted to be connected to an outlet of the loop, and a mouth adapted to be in fluid connection with the bioreactor. The mouth of the second flow path is distanced from the first end of the first flow path by at least 5 mm, preferably 10 mm.

High-load organic wastewater dark fermentation biohydrogen production device and hydrogen production method

A high-load organic wastewater dark fermentation biohydrogen production device and a hydrogen production method are provided. An exhaust port of the production device is communicated with a gas collection region through a gas pipe; a return inlet is arranged at a bottom; a baffle plate is arranged in a two-phase separation device; the baffle plate has a helical shape that makes influent water form a helical centripetal water flow path; one end of an inert gas communicating pipe is connected with an air hole at a bottom of the gas collection region; the other end of the inert gas communicating pipe is communicated with an air intake disc; the inert gas communicating pipe is provided with a connecting hole and an air pump; and the gas collection region is connected with a gas buffer tank and a hydrogen storage tank in sequence. A two-phase separation unit is also provided.

Systems and methods for algae cultivation using direct air capture

Embodiments of the disclosure provide systems and methods for supplying an algae cultivation fluid with nutrients (e.g., carbon dioxide and nitrogen) directly from the atmosphere. Supplying nutrients directly from the atmosphere reduces operational costs and environmental impacts, as well as provides greater flexibility in locating algae farms.
