Systems and methods provide a self-contained sealed apparatus that captures, filters, compresses and stores methane gas produced by the decomposition of bio-degradable organic materials. The system includes a rotatable and sealable chamber with an intermittent drive unit that mixes moist bio-degradable material during an anaerobic reaction, and captures methane gas generated by anaerobic decomposition. A filter to remove impurities, a low-pressure storage tank, a compressor and a high-pressure storage tank are interconnected and controlled by a system that monitors system parameters, that may include gas flow rate, temperature, and gas volume, and controls system parameters, that may include drive unit activation, generator operation, and compressor operation.

A bioreactor may comprise a head-plate configured to provide coupling features to attach selected components to the bioreactor. In one embodiment, a concentrically baffled reactor includes an outer housing that defines an interior space, an inlet through which material can be delivered into the interior space, an outlet through which material can be removed from the interior space, and multiple concentric baffles within the interior space that define multiple concentric reactor zones through which the material can sequentially flow to the outlet.
BIOREACTOR SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A BIOPROCESS
A bioreactor system for receiving a disposable bioreactor bag comprises a receiving container having a container wall which defines a receiving space in which the disposable bioreactor bag is received in an operating state of the bioreactor system. A stirring system projects at least partially into the receiving space and is designed and configured to stir a biomedium present in the disposable bioreactor bag in the operating state of the bioreactor system. At least one baffle, which makes the receiving space smaller and differs from the container wall, serves to reduce a laminar flow of the biomedium. A temperature control medium flows through at least part of the at least one baffle, said temperature control medium controlling the temperature of the baffle.

Algal cultivation system and a process for biomass production
The present disclosure relates to an algal cultivation system comprising an algal pond. The algal pond comprises a growth chamber containing algal culture which is exposed to light to enable rapid growth of algae therein, and a regeneration chamber which is substantially devoid of light and configured to provide a residence time to algal culture for repair of damaged proteins of algal cells. The present disclosure also relates to a process for biomass production, comprising circulating algal culture using convection current or forced convection, between the growth chamber and the regeneration chamber. The system and process facilitate in increasing biomass and mitigating salinity and/or temperature variations in the algal culture (A).
REACTOR HAVING DYNAMIC SPARGER
Systems and methods relating to dynamic spargers for generating fine bubbles within reactors such as biological and chemical reactors. A sparger system is positioned within a reactor and comprises a support plate, multiple annular shrouds engaged with the support plate, and spargers positioned within the annular shrouds defining a gap between an interior surface of the annular shroud and an exterior surface of the corresponding sparger. Liquid flows through the defined gap between an interior surface of the annular shroud and an exterior surface of the sparger. Acceleration of the liquid through the gap shears bubbles at the exterior surface of the sparger creating bubbles or fine bubbles.
