CELL REPROGRAMMING APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a cell reprogramming apparatus using energy capable of promoting an environmental influx, and more particularly, the cell reprogramming apparatus has an effect of inducing reprogramming into new types of pluripotent cells having pluripotent characteristics or arbitrary differentiated cells having a different expression type from the differentiated cells by applying energy such as ultrasonic waves, laser, or heat treatment to the differentiated cells.
Combined anaerobic digester and GTL system and method of use thereof
A combined anaerobic digester system and gas-to-liquid system is disclosed. The anaerobic digester requires heat, and produces methane. The gas-to-liquid system produces heat, and converts methane to higher-value products, including methanol and formaldehyde. As such, the combination of the two systems results in significant savings in terms of capital and operating expenses. A process for producing bio-formaldehyde and bio-formalin from biogas is also disclosed.
Method and device for continuous dry methanation
A device for continuous dry methanation in a fermenter having a closed tank having at least one compartment to ferment the slurry comprising at least 17% dry matter. An injector to inject pressurized gas close to the bottom of the compartment via at least one chimney that descends through the compartment. The injected gas rising through the slurry creates a convective movement in the slurry around the chimney to stir the matter at the bottom of the compartment. The tank can include a first compartment into which the slurry is introduced and a second compartment into which the hydrolyzed slurry flows after hydrolysis and acidogenesis in the first compartment. Methanogenesis takes place in the second compartment.
System and method of preservation, storage and transport of biological materials
A system and method for preservation, storage and transport of biological materials by the use of at least one deformable container configured with at least one inlet at one end, an outer surface greater than 80% of the total surface of the cavities of the support and a width and length sufficient for it to be placed in contact with all the heat transfer plates of the support. The support has at least two cavities delimited by the heat transfer plates, with temperature control device, side walls and at least one main front door. The system allows improvement of the heat transfer necessary for freezing and thawing large volumes of solutions containing biological materials. It also allows to considerably accelerate the heat transfer, as well as the reproducibility and scalability of the freezing and thawing process while keeping the system very compact.
Apparatus for accelerating reproduction of odor from air-conditioner and method for the same
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method that can accelerate reproduction of odor from an air-conditioner by segmenting microorganisms, a temperature/humidity condition and nutrients for metabolism of the microorganisms as conditions for reproducing the odor from the air-conditioner and setting the segmented microorganisms, a temperature/humidity condition and nutrients for metabolism of the microorganisms according to an accelerated condition thereof.
Micro-incubation systems for microfluidic cell culture and methods
A micro-incubator manifold for improved microfluidic configurations and systems and methods of manufacture and operation for a manifold and automated microfluidic systems are disclosed. Various embodiments relate to assays, systems, and/or devices for culturing cells or other biologic material in controlled environments and are applicable to related fields generally using microfluidic systems. Particular embodiments involve configurations that can be used with various standard automated handling systems, with active or passive loading and perfusion of medium and to provide high-throughput multi-assay automated systems for culturing, viewing, and analyzing cell growth, invasion, movement, chemotaxis or other properties. More specifically, specific embodiments relate to heat control systems for microfluidic culture plates and other automated systems for culture plates.
CULTURE APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING CULTURE APPARATUS
A culture apparatus including: a heat-insulated casing including an inner case surrounding a culture space, and an outer case, the heat-insulated casing having an opening; a box-shaped heat-insulated door to open and close the opening; and, one or more heaters provided to one or more inner surfaces of the inner case and an inner surface of an inner wall surface of the heat-insulated door, the inner wall surface facing the culture space when the door is closed; the heaters including one or more first heaters turned on when the interior of the culture space is at a first temperature to incubate a culture in the culture space and when the interior of the culture space is controlled at a second temperature to make the interior of the culture space, and second heaters to be energized when the interior of the culture space is controlled at the second temperature to sterilize the interior of the culture space.
Heat Exchanger System with Flexible Bag
A bag assembly for use with a heat exchanger includes a flexible bag having of one or more sheets of polymeric material, the bag having a first end that bounds a first compartment and an opposing second end that bounds a second compartment, a support structure being disposed between the first compartment and the second compartment so that the first compartment is separated and isolated from the second compartment. A first inlet port, a first outlet port, and a first drain port are coupled with the flexible bag so as to communicate with the first compartment. A second inlet port, a second outlet port, and a second drain port are coupled with the flexible bag so as to communicate with the second compartment.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELF-ADMINISTERING A CULTURE TEST
Disclosed herein is a system for self-administering an infection culture test, the system including apparatus for self-administering the infection culture test, the apparatus including a housing having a cover and a compartment for storing a bacterial culture and to facilitate bacterial growth, a hydrophilic filter positioned within the compartment to facilitate bacterial growth, and a window cover to hermetically seal the compartment; at least one smart device configured to record at least one image of the bacteria within the apparatus and provide a determination whether an infection is present and to identify what specific bacteria is present.
System of biomimetic energy synthesis
An improved system of generating renewable energy is comprised of a specific configuration of mechanisms, materials, and processes that all function together as a single symbiotic system. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the system cultivates aquatic biomass, then extracts triglycerides from said biomass. The extracted triglycerides are converted into biodiesel through transesterification. During the operation of the system, a continuous output of biofuel, thermal energy, steam, and electricity, is efficiently produced. These yields are precisely measured and repurposed as energy input at various points throughout system processes, thus resulting in a surplus output. Any embodiment of the disclosed system will generate a continuously renewable final product of biofuel and power.
