PROTEIN PRODUCTION IN MICROORGANISMS OF THE PHYLUM LABYRINTHULOMYCOTA
The present invention relates to recombinant cells and microorganisms of the phylum Labyrinthulomycota and their use in heterologous protein production. Novel promoter, terminator, and signal sequences for efficient production and, optionally, secretion of polypeptides from recombinant host cells and microorganisms are also encompassed by the present invention.
Ciliated protozoan with the effect of promoting plant seed germination and seedling growth
A method of using a strain of ciliated protozoan for promoting effect on germination and growth of plant seeds is provided. The ciliated protozoan is a Colpoda species JH2-5-4, with preservation number of China Center for Type Culture Collection (CCTCC) NO. C202229. A method of screening and selecting a highly efficient and active strain suitable for use as a microbial fertilizer in plant cultivation is provided. The selected ciliated protozoan strain shortens the germination time of plant seeds, promotes plant growth, and improves seedling survival rate.
ASSAYS FOR DETERMINIG THE PATHOGENCITY OF TOXOPLASMA INFECTIONS
The present invention describes methods of identifying high-risk populations or individuals who have positive serology for T.gondii. These methods include obtaining a biological sample from a subject; determining the level of T.gondii cyst antigen antibody in the biological sample; and characterizing the biological sample in at least one of three categories.
Engineered and Fully-Functional Customized Glycoproteins
Described herein are compositions and methods of producing glycosylated proteins in vitro and in vivo. The methods include using host cells to produce glycosylated proteins. Also described herein are glycosylated proteins produced using such methods and uses thereof.

Thraustochytrid based process for treating waste effluents
The present invention relates to the continuous process of sequestration of nutrients from waste effluents released from gas fermentation plants or green-house gases emission managing plants by novel Thraustochytrids. Particularly this invention relates to the methods and systems to enhance sequestration rate and productivity of the process. This invention also relates to rapid biotransformation of nutrients present in waste effluents into high value omega-3 fatty acids like Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Docosapentaenoic acid (DPA), Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and lipids for biodiesel. This disclosure is about means of processing of waste streams and producing value added products out of it.
