COORDINATED COEXPRESSION OF THROMBIN
20200063116 · 2020-02-27 ·

The present invention provides methods of producing thrombin using coordinated coexpression systems, and particularly inducible coexpression systems, capable of controlled induction of expression of each gene product required for the production of thrombin.

PREPARING ANTIBODIES FROM CHO CELL CULTURES FOR CONJUGATION

The invention is based in part on the observation that a CHO cell oxidizing enzyme, particularly QSOX1, can survive a seemingly rigorous antibody purification process to reduce subsequent conjugation efficiency of the antibody to a drug. Whether the oxidizing enzyme survives the purification procedure depends on which purification techniques are employed which can vary from one antibody to another. With knowledge that contamination with a CHO cell oxidizing enzyme is a potential problem for subsequent conjugation, a suitable purification scheme can be devised for any antibody that eliminates or at least reduces CHO oxidizing enzyme(s) to an acceptable level.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ROBUST DYNAMIC METABOLIC CONTROL
20200056211 · 2020-02-20 ·

The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for rapid production of chemicals in genetically engineered microorganisms in a large scale. Also provided herein is a high-throughput metabolic engineering platform enabling the rapid optimization of microbial production strains. The platform, which bridges a gap between current in vivo and in vitro bio-production approaches, relies on dynamic minimization of the active metabolic network.

Method for producing L-methionine
10563235 · 2020-02-18 · ·

Provided is a process for the preparation of L-methionine in an enzymatic reaction utilizing dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) a precursor of L-methionine, and an organic reducing compound. In the process, methyl mercaptan can be formed by the enzymatic hydrogenolysis of the DMDS.

A METHOD OF BONDING TOGETHER SURFACES OF TWO OR MORE ELEMENTS AND A PRODUCT MADE BY SAID METHOD

A method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements. The method includes the steps of providing two or more elements, applying an adhesive to one or more of the surfaces to be bonded together before, during or after contacting the surfaces to be bonded together with each other, and curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PYRUVIC ACID AND RELATED PRODUCTS USING DYNAMIC METABOLIC CONTROL
20190390232 · 2019-12-26 ·

The present disclosure is related to genetically engineered microbial strains and related bioprocesses for the production of pyruvate and related products. Specifically, the use of dynamically controlled synthetic metabolic valves to reduce the activity of enzymes known to contribute to pyruvate synthesis, leads to increased pyruvate production in a two-stage process rather than a decrease in production.
