A mattress encasement including a first encasement portion and a second encasement portion configured to form an enclosure space is disclosed herein. The first encasement portion and the second encasement portion being connected using a connection means. The enclosure space allows the mattress to be inserted thereinto. In some embodiments, the first encasement portion and the second encasement portion extend out from a connecting portion. In some embodiments, the connecting portion may be configured to encapsulate at least a portion of the mattress during installation when the first and second encasement portions are not connected.
