CUSTOMISABLE RESILIENT UNIT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A pocketed resilient unit (130), such as for a mattress core, comprises integral pocketed resilient elements (110) arranged in clusters (240), wherein each integral pocketed resilient element in a cluster is attached to at least one other integral pocketed resilient element, and wherein the clusters define interstices (250), in at least some of which are located independent resilient elements (260).
CUSHIONS WITH REINFORCED CORNERS
A cushion may include a cushioning element. The cushioning element may comprise an elastomeric material and one or more reinforcing features positioned at one or more exterior portions of the cushioning element.
POCKET SPRING BED MESH BONDING COMBINING APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND POCKET SPRING MATTRESS
An apparatus for bonding and combining a pocket spring bed mesh and method, and a pocket spring bed mesh. The apparatus includes a rack, a platform arranged on the rack for driving the pocket spring bed mesh to move reciprocally, a rotating mechanism used for driving the pocket spring bed mesh to rotate, and a combining mechanism used for combining pocket spring strings to form the pocket spring bed mesh. The combining mechanism bonds and combines pocket spring strings to form an unshaped pocket spring bed mesh which is driven by the platform to move to the position of rotating mechanism to be rotated for adjusting the orientation, then the pocket spring bed mesh is moved by the platform to the combining mechanism, and the combining mechanism bonds and combines the side parts of the unshaped pocket spring bed mesh using a pocket spring string of a smaller diameter.
Composite mattresses with air chambers
A composite mattress includes a pressurizable layer and a top layer. A coiled spring layer may also be included in the composite mattress. The composite mattress may also include a base layer and/or an intermediate layer. A foundation, or rail, may laterally surround the pressurizable layer and the top layer. The composite mattress may include a cover, including a base panel, a periphery, and a top panel. The cover may encase the other components of the composite mattress. The composite mattress may include a separable top and bottom; these elements may be modular, enabling individuals or couples to customize a mattress by selecting one or more tops from a plurality of available tops for use with one or more bases from a plurality of available bases.

Mattress
Disclosed a reversible mattress comprising a layer of coil pockets comprising first and second coil pockets. Each of the first and second coil pockets comprise a coil spring disposed in a pocket. The mattress further comprises a first layer of cushion members comprising first and second cushion members engaged with an attachment member. The attachment member is engaged with the layer of coil pockets such that the first and second cushion members act directly upon the first and second coil pockets, respectively. The mattress further comprises a second layer of cushion members comprising first and second cushion members engaged with an attachment member. The attachment member is engaged with said second layer of coil pockets such that said first and second cushion members act directly upon said first and second coil pockets, respectively.
Pocketed spring assembly
A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of springs, each string joined to at least one adjacent string, each string comprising first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse seams joining the first and second plies. At least one spring is positioned in each pocket. Exterior strings have identical springs in their pockets. Interior strings have two different springs along their length, the outermost springs being firmer than the interior core springs. The pocketed spring assembly has increased firmness or edge support along all four sides due to the different coil springs of the assembly.
Mattresses including an elastomeric cushioning element and a pocketed coil layer and related methods
A mattress assembly includes a base layer, a coil layer disposed over the base layer, an upper layer disposed over the coil layer, and an elastomeric cushioning element disposed over the upper layer. The coil layer may include a plurality of pocketed coils. Furthermore, the elastomeric cushioning element may have a thickness within a range of about 2.0 inches to about 4.5 inches. Furthermore, the elastomeric cushioning element may form between about 15.0% and about 32.0% of an overall thickness of the mattress assembly. A method of forming a mattress assembly includes disposing a coil layer over a base layer, disposing an upper layer over the coil layer, disposing an elastomeric cushioning element over the upper layer, and disposing an outer covering over at least the upper layer.
