COMPOSITE MATTRESSES WITH AIR CHAMBERS

A composite mattress includes a pressurizable layer and a top layer. A coiled spring layer may also be included in the composite mattress. The composite mattress may also include a base layer and/or an intermediate layer. A foundation, or rail, may laterally surround the pressurizable layer and the top layer. The composite mattress may include a cover, including a base panel, a periphery, and a top panel. The cover may encase the other components of the composite mattress. The composite mattress may include a separable top and bottom; these elements may be modular, enabling individuals or couples customize a mattress by selecting one or more tops from a plurality of available for use with one or more bases from a plurality of available bases.

Supple member with adjustable stiffness for lying and/or sitting furniture

The invention relates to a supple member with adjustable stiffness for lying and/or sitting furniture. This member includes one or more adjustable helical springs and a rotary part. The rotary part includes a hub able to rotate about the central axis and one or more elastically flexible fingers. Each finger extends from a first end secured to the hub of the rotary part, over an arc of circle about the central axis, to a second end, and cooperates with a corresponding end of one or more of the adjustable helical springs.

Height-adjustable supple member

The invention relates to a height-adjustable supple member for lying and/or sitting furniture, including one or more adjustable springs and a rotary part. Each adjustable spring is configured to change in height along a central axis under the effect of a radial stress relative to the central axis. The rotary part includes one or more rails each extending over an angular sector about the central axis, in a plane perpendicular to the central axis, from a first end to a second end more distant from the central axis than the first end. Each rail cooperates, in the radial direction relative to the central axis, with a corresponding adjustable spring among the one or more adjustable. The rotary part is able to rotate, about the central axis, so as to exert, through each rail, said radial stress on the corresponding adjustable spring.

AIR SYSTEM FOR A BED

An air system for a bed can include a layer assembly having a head end, a foot end, and first and second sides, with a head portion near the head end, a foot portion near the foot end, and a middle portion between the head portion and the foot portion, the layer assembly. The layer assembly can have a spacer layer comprising spacer material configured to allow for air flow through the spacer material and a cover comprising a cover top layer and a cover bottom layer. The air system can have a distribution manifold that is substantially fan-shaped with a plurality of ribs defining channels and/or is positioned above the cover bottom layer and under the spacer layer. The air system can have first and second flaps with first and second retention features extending from the head and foot ends of the air layer.

Plastic drive caddy assembly

A drive caddy assembly comprises a plastic frame and a plastic faceplate that includes a plastic tab and a plastic spring that moves along a spring axis that is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the drive caddy assembly. The plastic spring is configured to compress from a resting state along the spring axis without moving perpendicular to the spring axis during insertion of the drive caddy assembly into a drive receptacle of a storage server, and is further configured to return to the resting state when the drive caddy assembly is fully seated in the drive receptacle. The plastic tab extends from a side of the plastic spring and is configured to engage with the drive receptacle in a manner that translates a force on the drive caddy assembly along the longitudinal axis into a force on the plastic spring along the spring axis.

A mattress assembly includes a chassis having top and bottom walls and first and second sidewalls that each extend from the top wall to the bottom wall. Inner surfaces of the walls and the sidewalls define an interior cavity. The top and bottom walls each include a first section that is connected to the first sidewall and a second section that is connected to the second sidewall such that the first sections are pivotable relative to the first sidewall and the second sections are pivotable relative to the second sidewall. The first section of the top wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the top wall and the first section of the bottom wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the bottom wall. A spring assembly is configured to be positioned within the interior cavity.

Zoned Spring Mattress That Can Be Compactly Compressed, Folded and Rolled

A foldable and rollable zoned spring mattress includes a zoned spring layer with first, second and third lateral regions. The central axis of the mattress passes through the second lateral region. The first lateral region is disposed between the second lateral region and the top of the mattress, and the third lateral region is disposed between the second lateral region and the bottom of the mattress. The second lateral region includes pocket springs comprised of individual metal coils each encased in a fabric pocket. The first and third lateral regions include coils that are connected to one another by parallel rows of helical-shaped wires that are oriented perpendicular to the central axis. The mattress is compressed and then folded at its central axis at the pocket springs of the second lateral region. The compressed and folded mattress is then rolled such that the helical-shaped wires are not folded or bent.

Pocketed spring assembly including cushion pads and buckling members

A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of springs, each string joined to at least one adjacent string, each string comprising one piece of fabric folded into first and second opposed plies. Outer pockets are formed along each string by transverse seams joining the first and second plies. One pocketed spring, at least cushion pad and at least one buckling member are positioned in each outer pocket. At least one cushion pad, at least one buckling member or any combination thereof may be individually pocketed inside an outer pocket.
