ADJUSTABLE FIRMNESS DEVICE AND RELAXATION FURNITURE THAT COMPRISES SAID DEVICE
An adjustable force device for relaxation furniture that comprises a multitude of resilient elements and at least one rigid base element on which the resilient elements rest, in such a way that the resilient elements are intended to compress when receiving pressure and return to their original shape when this pressure is removed, in which at least some of the resilient elements comprise: a head component on the upper part of the resilient element; a means for transmitting tension applied to the head component,
the means for transmitting tension to an actuating device of the means for transmitting tension being connected in such a way that the action of the actuating device causes the connected resilient element or elements to compress via the respective means for transmitting tension.
Adjustable sleeping system with massage function
Adjustable sleeping system with massage function. At least one example embodiment is a method of operating a sleeping system, the method including massaging a person residing on a sleeping surface of the sleeping system, the massaging by driving a plurality of adjustable spring assemblies, the plurality of adjustable spring assemblies part of an array of adjustable spring assemblies arranged such that a top of each adjustable spring assembly defines an upper surface parallel to the sleeping surface.
FURNITURE DEVICE FOR A PIECE OF FURNITURE
The invention relates to a furniture device (100) for an item of furniture, wherein the furniture device (100) comprises; a frame device (110); a suspension device (130) which is designed to be coupled to the frame device (110); a frame spring device (120) which is designed to cause a first spring effect between the frame device (110) and the suspension device (130); and a suspension spring device (140) which is designed to cause a second spring effect on the suspension device (130).
Pocketed spring unit and method of manufacture
A resilient unit has strings of individual coil springs (not shown) inside pockets 120 are arranged in an array. The strings together form a spring unit and are each secured to a common cover sheet S, which comprises a non-woven elastic fabric. It is welded ultrasonically or thermally whilst under tension in one or both of its major dimensions—i.e. in-plane—to the pockets 120, the material of which is substantially inelastic and non-woven. In this example the welds, labelled W, are located substantially centrally with respect to the generally circular end surfaces of the pockets.
PIECE OF FURNITURE FOR SITTING OR LYING DOWN ON
The present invention relates to a piece of furniture (100) for sitting or lying down on, comprising a frame (110) and a base (130) for a mattress or a seat cushion. The base (130) spans a horizontal surface area and has a thickness which extends in the vertical direction. The base (130) is resiliently coupled with the frame (110). The invention is characterized by the provision of a guide element (150) which ensures that a vertically downwardly directed external force applied to the base (130) results in the base (130) being moved in a guided manner vertically downwards relative to the frame (110).
Support cushions including a pocketed coil layer with a plurality of fabric types for directing air flow, and methods for controlling surface temperature of same
A support cushion for providing air flow to a user resting on the support cushion is provided. The support cushion includes pocketed coil layer and a base layer positioned adjacent to and below the pocketed coil layer. The pocketed coil layer including a plurality of fabric types for directing air flow. A fan is operably connected to the inlet hole of the base layer to provide air flow into and through the pocketed coil layer to a body support layer. Methods of controlling air flow through a support cushion are also provided.
Adjustable mattress
An adjustable mattress may have an inner spring core between a top and bottom cover. The bottom cover may have at least one section made of a stretchable material that stretches around the mattress as it bends. The stretchable cover reduces the stress on the inner core for the bending when adjusting the mattress. The inner core may be formed from a spring array surrounded by a foam perimeter rail. Sides of the foam perimeter rail may be formed from individual foam coils.

Sleeping system
A sleeping system includes a comfortable layer comprising a plurality of pressure relief springs and a supporting layer arranged under the comfortable layer. The supporting layer includes a plurality of supporting springs corresponding to the plurality of pressure relief springs, each of the plurality of supporting springs is connected with one of the plurality of pressure relief springs to constitute a pair of spring, the supporting springs and the supporting springs forms a plurality of pairs of springs arranged along a length direction and a width direction, each pair of spring has a same size, and a ratio of a length of the supporting spring to a length of the pressure relief spring varies smoothly along the length direction of the sleeping system.
Mattress comprising a core of pocket springs disposed within a periphery of outer springs
A mattress comprising an interior core of inner pocket springs arranged in a plurality of columns extending between opposite ends of the mattress disposed within an exterior periphery of outer pocket springs arranged in a plurality of columns extending between opposite ends of the mattress and a plurality of rows extending between opposite sides of the mattress where each inner pocket spring and each outer pocket spring has substantially the same in pocket height and out of pocket height, and the outer pocket springs are firmer than the inner pocket springs to create a relatively firm border around the periphery of the mattress.
