Pocket-spring core and method for producing the pocket-spring core
A pocket-spring core having at least one first zone and at least one second zone, wherein the first zone has at least two rows of a first spring portion and at least one of the second zones has at least one row or line of a second spring portion, wherein the second spring portion has at least two layers which are located vertically one above the other and comprise in each case a plurality of helically wound first compression springs, in a first, upper layer, and second compression springs, in a second, lower layer, and at least one row of a third spring portion, is distinguished in that at least one of the second zones of the pocket-spring core has at least one channel-like depression.
Pocketed spring assembly including cushion pads
A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of springs, each string joined to at least one adjacent string, each string comprising one piece of fabric folded into first and second opposed plies of fabric. Outer pockets are formed along each string by transverse seams joining the first and second plies. One pocketed spring and at least cushion pad is positioned in each outer pocket. The cushion pad may be individually pocketed. An upper end of each transverse seam may be below an upper surface of the string to partially separate adjacent outer pockets within a string.
User configurable mattress system and method for customizing and repairing the same
A User Configurable Mattress System and Method for Customizing and Repairing the Same comprising a support cored assembly, a foam assembly, and a covering assembly. The support core assembly is preferably comprised of a high resiliency foam portion, which may include one or more layers of high resiliency foam, and preferably has a thickness between 3 and 12 inches. The foam assembly further is preferably comprised of a first layer of latex foam and a second layer of gel foam. The first layer of latex foam is positioned on top of the second layer of gel foam for users who desire a firmer mattress, the second layer of gel foam is positioned on top of the first layer of latex foam for users who desire a softer mattress. The covering assembly substantially envelopes the support core assembly and the foam assembly, and is selectively removable.
APPARATUS FOR CONVERTIBLE AND SELECTABLE MATTRESS FIRMNESS
Provided for is a mattress comprising a first layer comprising a first firm layer and a first soft layer, a second layer comprising a second firm layer and a second soft layer, where the second layer and the first layer are in horizontal adjacent contact. The mattress may further comprise a base layer comprising a base top layer and a base bottom layer, where the base layer and the first layer are in vertical adjacent contact, and where the base layer and the second layer are in vertical adjacent contact. The mattress may further comprise a cover comprising a cover top, a cover bottom, and a zipper, where the zipper may separate the cover top from the cover bottom, where a band may be disposed on an inside surface of the cover top, where the band may mask a gap between the first layer and the second layer.
Multiple zone mattress core element with multiple coil configurations
This disclosure addresses mattresses. The mattress includes a core made up of multiple zones. Each of the zones includes a plurality of core elements, the core elements being formed from at least one wire coil spring at least partially contained in a fabric pouch. The core elements are typically joined in linear chains. The zones vary in support firmness according to the selection of a user. The core elements include wire coil springs formed from wires of at least two different sizes, and of at least two different heights.
Hollow tubular center bulging foam spring
A hollow tubular foam spring having a plurality of radially extending holes extending from an outer surface towards a central hollow core. The tubular foam spring is arranged with wall thickness and diameter to height ratios such that center bulging is achieved under compressive loads. In an embodiment, such as in a mattress, seat, cushion or pillow, springs are arranged in an array whereby some impinge upon one another due to central bulging.
Furniture spring system
A furniture spring system includes a lid configured to provide a seating surface. The lid includes a frame having two opposing frame members and a retention member associated with at least one of the two opposing frame members. The furniture spring system further includes a slat extending between the two opposing frame members. The slat includes a plurality of slat portions adjustably coupled to each other, such that a total length of the slat is adjustable.
self-adaption breathable cushion
A self-adaption breathable cushion comprises a fixed base and a plurality of self-adaptive units integrated side by side and disposed on the fixed base; each of the adaptive units comprises a strap and an elastic member, the elastic member supports the strap to tension above the fixing, base, when the strap is pressed by the pressure and recessed downwards, the strap pulls the elastic member to be deformed, so that the self-adaptive unit moves downwards in a whole; when the pressure is removed, the elastic member is reset under its own elasticity, and the strap is also reset. The self-adaption breathable cushion can be self-adaptive deformed according to the weight of a human body to be borne, so as to be attached to the human body, making the human body more comfortable, ventilated and breathable, easy to clean, and inexpensive.
Firmness controlling apparatus for a bed or seating arrangement
A firmness controlling apparatus for use in a bed arrangement or a seating arrangement is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a rigid frame having two opposed sides, and at least one non-elastic flexible elongate element extending between the two opposed sides. Each end of the non-elastic flexible elongate element is directly or indirectly connected to one of the opposed sides, and at least one of the ends is indirectly connected via an elastic flexible elongate element. A plurality of elongate springs are provided and extend in a flat or curved plane, the ends of each elongate spring being attached to one of the at least one non-elastic flexible elongate elements at two separated connections. A retraction device is arranged to tighten and slack the non-elastic flexible elongate element(s) between the two separated connections, thereby adjusting the distance between the two separated connections of each non-elastic flexible elongate element, and thereby controlling the curvature and height of the elongate springs.
MULTILAYER MATTRESS ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Multilayered mattress assemblies include at least one elongated elastic wrap compressively looped about at least two layers of the mattress assembly to maintain the at least two layers in a fixed relationship relative to one another.
