Component with multiple layers
A bedding component includes a top portion having a gel foam, a middle portion having a foam layer with at least one gel disc, and a bottom portion have a foam core.
REVERSIBLE MULTI-LAYER MATTRESS PAD
In some embodiments, a reversible multi-layer mattress pad comprises a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer comprises a first temperature-sensitive memory foam having a first density suitable for warmer temperatures, and the second layer comprises a second temperature-sensitive memory foam having a second density suitable for cooler temperatures. The third layer comprises a form-supporting form layer disposed between first and seconds layers (e.g., forming a three-layer stack).
Temperature-Regulating Mattress
A temperature-regulating mattress system provides dynamic adjustment of temperature and other parameters throughout a user's sleep cycle to maximize the quality of the user's sleep, Features of the system may include: (a) heating and cooling temperature regulation (with dynamic custom profiles that control humidity and are dual-zone); (b) smart controls (with remotes and apps that learn from users to optimize settings and work with smart home products such as Alexa and interactive lighting systems); (c) comfort (with a mattress that provide the necessary support for its users); and (d) sensors used for temperature and humidity estimation algorithms, control mechanism, and additional inferences from those sensors (pose, enrichment of biometric sensing data, etc.).
MATTRESS WITH AN INTEGRATED MATTRESS ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS
An adjustable mattress frame suitable to be fully contained within a mattress is provided with a central body segment and with upper and lower body adjustable segments pivotally connected by one or more hinges to said central body segment, said central body segment being provided with one or more actuation modules suitable to actuate said upper and lower body segments respectively.
Waterbed System
A waterbed system for placement on a ground surface can comprise one or more of the following components: a waterbed mattress, a foam structure around the periphery of the mattress, a platform below the mattress and the foam periphery for supporting the waterbed mattress and the foam structure, a foundation coupled to and extending downwardly from the platform, preferably a single, fire resistant polyester fiber baffle disposed within the waterbed mattress, a cover over the top surface of the mattress and around the outer surface of the foam structure, a water proof liner below the bottom surface of the mattress, a water bed heater under the liner between the liner and the upper surface of the platform, a layer of fiberglass insulation attached to the lower surface of the platform, and an accessory storage container coupled to the foundation.
EXPANDABLE BED
A bed assembly includes a frame and a mattress receivable on the frame, the mattress including a plurality of longitudinally-extending sections and at least one bladder. The at least one bladder is inflatable to increase a width of the mattress.
PRESSURE DISTRIBUTING ALIGNED ARRAYS OF CUSHIONING VOID CELLS
Implementations described and claimed herein include a cellular cushioning system comprising a first matrix of void cells, and a second matrix of void cells opposing the first matrix of void cells, wherein one or more peaks of each void cell in the second matrix is attached to one or more peaks of each void cell in the first matrix, and wherein the void cells of the first matrix have a higher cell resolution than the void cells of the second matrix. In another implementation, a method of manufacturing a cushioning system includes molding a first matrix of void cells, molding a second matrix of void cells, the void cells of the first matrix having a higher cell resolution than the void cells in the second matrix, and attaching peak surfaces of the void cells of the first matrix and peak surfaces of the void cells of the second matrix together.
Cushion-like shaped body and use thereof
A cushion-like shaped body (1) having an elastic, gel-like filling (2) in a thin-walled outer layer (3) are frequently used as seals, cushions, vibration dampers or shape compensation materials. This shaped body (1) is to be able to withstand severe strains, distortions, compressions and flexural forces, both in the event of brief severe stress and in the event of prolonged stress. For this purpose, the cushion-like shaped body (1) has a filling (2) of a polyurethane having Shore 000 hardness less than or equal to 80 and a compression set less than or equal to 14%, and this filling (2) is present within a shell having an outer layer (3) of a soft silicone material having a layer thickness of 0.075 to 1 mm and a Shore A hardness between 3A and 45A. Such a shaped body (1) is able to return to its original form without lasting elongation after tensile strain at room temperature up to 250%. There is no formation of cracks, detachment phenomena, bubbles, folds or other lasting damage. The elongation does not cause visible detachment between filling (2) and outer layer (3).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A SEATED PATIENT
An apparatus is configured for use with a chair having a supporting surface, and includes a bottom member having a cushioning member, the bottom member adapted to be placed above the supporting surface. The bottom member has a rear edge adapted to be placed proximate a rear of the chair and a front edge opposite the rear edge. The apparatus further includes a top member having a bottom surface positioned in confronting relation to the bottom member and a top surface opposite the bottom surface. The top member and the bottom member are connected to each other along at least one of the front and rear edges, and at least a portion of the top member is slidable with respect to the bottom member. The apparatus further includes a second cushioning member connected to a rear end of the apparatus and adapted to extend upward from the rear end.
ADJUSTABLE MATTRESS ASSEMBLY
Adjustable mattress assemblies are described in which a mattress incorporates regions where additional pressure reduction is adjustable via pliable fluid bladders filled with a gas or fluid. Such areas of the mattress where additional pressure reduction is desired may include regions of the mattress which support areas of the body which may be particularly susceptible to pressure ulcers such as the heels, sacral regions, etc.
