MATTRESS PROTECTOR AND REMOVABLE COVER ASSEMBLY
A mattress protector and removable cover assembly has a mattress protector for covering a mattress, the mattress protector having an exterior surface having a first zipper portion and a removable cover having a second zipper portion with the second zipper portion for mating with the first zipper portion for the removable cover for attaching to the mattress protector.
Multifunctional mattress systems
Embodiments of mattress systems comprise a mattress base, a multifunctional foam layer having a substantially planar top side and a non-planar bottom side contacting a top side of the mattress base, and wherein at least one air passage is present in spacing formed between the top side of the mattress base and the non-planar bottom side of the multifunctional foam layer, and a thermo-regulating gel layer affixed to at least a portion of the top side of the multifunctional foam layer.
ARTICLE COMPRISING A TEMPERATURE-CONDITIONED SURFACE, THERMOELECTRIC CONTROL UNIT, AND METHOD FOR TEMPERATURE-CONDITIONING THE SURFACE OF AN ARTICLE
The present invention provides systems, methods, and articles for temperature conditioning a surface. An article is formed from a first layer having a plurality of openings and a second layer having a corresponding plurality of openings. At least one interior chamber constructed and configured to retain a fluid without leaking is defined between an interior surface of the first layer and an interior surface of the second layer. At least one flexible fluid supply line delivers the fluid to the at least one interior chamber. At least one flexible fluid return line removes the fluid from the at least one interior chamber. At least one control unit that is operable to selectively cool or heat the fluid is attached to the at least one flexible fluid supply line and the at least one flexible fluid return line.
INFLATABLE CUSHION
A portable cushion has a first chamber formed from an upper sheet and a lower sheet sealed to the upper sheet along three edges, and a resealable closure extending between the upper sheet and lower sheet along a fourth edge to create an air-impermeable pocket when the closure is sealed. There is a second chamber formed from an upper sheet and a lower sheet sealed to the upper sheet along three edges, and a resealable closure extending between the upper sheet and lower sheet along a fourth edge to create an air-impermeable pocket when the closure is sealed. The second chamber is connected to one of the three edges of the first chamber along one of the three edges of the second chamber, to form a two-part cushion having a hinge between the two chambers. The cushion can be filled with air by waving each chamber through the air while the respective fourth edge is in an open position, and then sealing the respective closure element when air has entered the chamber.

Devices and Systems to Control Bed Temperature and Moisture Level
Disclosed herein are devices and systems to control and customize the temperature and moisture levels of a bed. A device or system can include: intra-room channels which conduct a flowable substance between a central HVAC vent and a bed; and intra-bed channels which conduct a flowable substance through a bedding component such as a bed mattress, bed mattress pad or topper, lower/fitted bed sheet, upper bed sheet, blanket, comforter, or quilt. A device or system can be a hybrid system wherein a liquid flow channel is nested inside an air flow channel.
Method for manufacturing a cushion and cushion
The invention relates to a method for producing a cushion for an orthopedic device, the cushion having at least one fluid-filled volume, wherein the method includes compression molding of a three-dimensional first cushion component made of at least a first material, which is preferably elastic, in a mold that comprises an inner mold and an outer mold, and bonding the first cushion component to at least a second cushion component in such a way that the fluid-filled volume is created.
MATTRESS
A mattress includes a generally rectangular prismatic foam body, having a length, a width, and a thickness, having a top surface, a plurality of slits in the top surface of the foam body extending across the width of the body to divide the top surface into a plurality of adjacent slats. An elongate chamber extends through the body, parallel to and aligned with each slit. At least one fluid filled cell disposed in each of the elongate chambers to support the edges of adjacent slats.
SUPPORT ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR ITS REALISATION
A support element, for example a plate, a mattress, a pillow, a seating plane of a chair, of an armchair, a saddle for vehicles and the like, equipped with a resting surface for a user, includes at least one first layer in gel associated with at least one second layer of different material; such a first layer in gel and such a second layer, that are associated, are crossed by through openings that are suitable for the proper circulation of air from one side to the other of the support element, so as to allow the optimal transpiration and thermal regulation of the parts of the body of the user positioned resting on the support element itself.
CUSHIONS INCLUDING A COATED ELASTOMERIC CUSHIONING ELEMENT AND RELATED METHODS
A cushion includes a cushioning element and a coating provided on a surface of the cushioning element. The cushioning element comprises an elastomeric material forming a plurality of intersecting buckling walls defining a plurality of hollow columns in an expanded form. The elastomeric material comprises an elastomeric polymer and a plasticizer. The coating comprising an olefin powder formulated to hinder adhesion of the elastomeric material when the cushioning element is in a compressed form such that the plurality of intersecting buckling walls is pressed together. The cushioning element is configured to be compressed by a roll-packing machine into the compressed form and subsequently released from the compressed form to transform to the expanded form. Methods of forming the cushion include forming the cushioning element comprising an elastomeric material, coating a surface of the cushioning element with olefin powder, and compressing the cushioning element into a compressed form.
