Production Method of Multiple Regenerated Hair Follicle Primordia, Production Method of Hair Follicle Tissue-Containing Sheet, Hair Regeneration Kit and Method for Screening Hair Growth promoter or Hair Growth Inhibitor
Provided is a manufacturing method for a plurality of regenerated hair follicle germs, including a step including simultaneously inoculating a microwell plate including regularly arranged microwell portions with mesenchymal cells and epithelial cells, and co-culturing the mesenchymal cells and the epithelial cells using a medium containing a fibroblast growth factor while supplying oxygen to the mesenchymal cells and the epithelial cells from at least an upper surface and a bottom surface of the microwell plate, to thereby form hair follicle germs in the microwell portions, the microwell plate being formed of a material having oxygen permeability. Also provided is a kit for hair regeneration, including: a microwell plate including regularly arranged microwell portions; and a fibroblast growth factor, wherein the microwell plate is formed of a material having oxygen permeability.
Stem cell conditioned media and methods of using the same
Methods of producing stem cell conditioned media to treat mammalian injuries or insults. In at least one embodiment of a method of producing a stem cell conditioned media of the present disclosure, the method comprises the steps of culturing at least one stem cell in a first cell culture medium, replacing some or all of the first cell culture medium with a second cell culture medium and further culturing the at least one stem cell in the second cell culture medium, and collecting a quantity of the second cell culture medium after a culture duration, wherein the quantity of the second cell culture medium contains a cell culture byproduct effective to treat a mammalian insult or injury.
PRODUCTION METHOD FOR KIDNEY-LIKE TISSUE
A novel tissue usable for a kidney tissue model is provided. A method for producing a kidney-like tissue includes co-culturing a cell group containing mesenchymal stem cells, vascular endothelial cells, and clonal embryonic kidney cells.
METHOD FOR MAINTAINING AND AMPLIFYING COLON CANCER STEM CELLS AND METHOD FOR INDUCING COLON CANCER ORGANOID
The present invention provides a method for maintenance and expansion of a colon cancer stem cell or induction of a colon cancer organoid. In addition, the present invention provides a medicament screening system using a colon cancer stem cell maintained and expanded or a colon cancer organoid induced by the method.
CRYOPRESERVED ENDOTHELIAL CELL COMPOSITIONS
The present invention provides compositions comprising high densities of endothelial cells (such as human umbilical vein endothelial cells) in freezing media, methods of producing such compositions, and methods of using such compositions in the preparation of therapeutic endothelial cell compositions. Such compositions and methods provide numerous advantages including eliminating the requirement to remove cryopreservatives before administration of therapeutic endothelial cell compositions to human subjects and requiring minimal manipulations and human interventions before use in therapeutic methods.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CANCER STEM CELLS
The present invention relates to a method of producing cancer stem cells that comprises culturing a living cell population containing cancer cells in the presence of a gel substance to obtain a living cell population containing cancer stem cells, wherein the gel substance is a material that induces expression of osteopontin in at least a portion of cells contained in the living cell population. Moreover, the present invention relates to an agent for inducing conversion of cancer cells to cancer stem cells that comprises a gel substance that induces expression of osteopontin in at least a portion of the cells contained in a living cell population. The gel substance is a synthetic polymer gel composed of, for example, double network gel, PNaSS gel, PCDME gel, PA gel, RAMPS gel, PDMA gel or PAAc gel. The present invention provides means and a method that enable the preparation of cancer stem cells in a relatively short period of time and at a relatively low culturing cost without requiring expensive equipment.
METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR INDUCING CHONDROGENESIS OR TENOGENESIS IN MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS
A cell medium for in vitro inducing chondrogenesis or tenogenesis in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). The medium is a glucose medium supplemented with at least one growth factor is chosen from the group of fibroblast growth factors (FGF) or the group of transforming growth factors (TGF), and the FGF or TGF is present in a total concentration of between 1 and 15 ng/ml. In both cases, IGF can be added to enhance the induction process. The use of the cell medium, a method for inducing isolated mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and a cell composition obtained by the method are also provided.
METHOD OF PRODUCING CANCER STEM CELLS
The present invention relates to a method of producing cancer stem cells that comprises culturing a living cell population containing cancer cells in the presence of a gel substance to obtain a living cell population containing cancer stem cells, wherein the gel substance is a material that induces expression of osteopontin in at least a portion of cells contained in the living cell population. The present invention provides means and a method that enable the preparation of cancer stem cells in a relatively short period of time and at a relatively low culturing cost without requiring expensive equipment.
Method for Treating Diabetes and Other Glucose Regulation Disorders Using Stem Cells
Various embodiments of the invention provide methods of treating diabetes and other glucose regulation disorders. In one embodiment, the method comprises removing L-cells from a donor, obtaining stem cells from a patient, and culturing the L-cells in the presence of the stem cells under conditions such that the stem cells differentiate into stem cell-derived L-cells (SCDLC). An amount of the SCDLC is introduced into the patient sufficient to cause a lowering of the patient's blood glucose level after ingestion of food. In another embodiment, the method comprises removing K-cells from a donor, obtaining stem cells from a patient, and culturing the K-cells in the presence of the stem cells under conditions such that the stem cells differentiate into stem cell-derived K-cells (SCDKC). An amount of the SCDKC is introduced into the patient sufficient to cause a lowering of the patient's blood glucose level after ingestion of food.
