A mattress includes a flex structure having at least one support layer and a plurality of marbles engaged with the at least one support layer and supported by the at least one support layer. The plurality of marbles is arranged in a grid pattern along the at least one support layer.

A method of manufacturing a multi-hardness and multi-elasticity foam mattress in which a plurality of foam blocks are formed integrally with each other by use of a continuous foaming process the method comprising the steps of: arranging a plurality of nozzles above one end of a molding plate; installing a separation wall between two adjacent ones of the respective nozzles arranged at the molding plate; laminating a release paper on the top of the molding plate; spraying foaming solutions from the nozzles, respectively, wherein the release paper moves in a direction toward the other end of the molding plate corresponding to a moving speed of the foaming solution; and molding a foam body having a plurality of zones where a plurality of unit foam blocks have multi-hardnesses and multi-elasticities.

A shaped body having at least one spring and at least one foam section. The uppermost section of the foam section is attached to the uppermost section of the at least one spring, and the lowest section of the foam section is attached to the lowest section of the at least one spring. The shaped body may be a viscoelastic foam and may include a temperature-regulating device arranged in thermal contact with the foam section and a control device for the temperature-regulating device adapted to adjust the firmness of the foam section by alteration of temperature. The shaped body is used as a bed or mattress for promoting sleep in one application or as a cushion.

A mattress assembly includes a base layer, a coil layer disposed over the base layer, an upper layer disposed over the coil layer, and an elastomeric cushioning element disposed over the upper layer. The coil layer may include a plurality of pocketed coils. Furthermore, the elastomeric cushioning element may have a thickness within a range of about 2.0 inches to about 4.5 inches. Furthermore, the elastomeric cushioning element may form between about 15.0% and about 32.0% of an overall thickness of the mattress assembly. A method of forming a mattress assembly includes disposing a coil layer over a base layer, disposing an upper layer over the coil layer, disposing an elastomeric cushioning element over the upper layer, and disposing an outer covering over at least the upper layer.

A double mattress that is particularly versatile thanks to a structure, which can be modified at any time according to particular needs or preferences, even if these differ between the two sides of the mattress. The book-like structure makes it possible to combine at will both the two different sides and the layers in contact with the body of two individuals with different needs.

A configurable foam mattress comfort system includes a firm foam mattress foundation including an upper surface having a triangular grooves disposed across a width thereof, and foam elongate cells configured to fit partially within corresponding triangular grooves from among the triangular grooves disposed across the width thereof. A length of each of the foam elongate cells is substantially equal to the width of the firm foam mattress foundation. The foam elongate cells are configured to be custom-stacked on each other and on the firm foam mattress foundation in accordance with a user's desired comfort configuration.

A support cushion for providing air flow to a user resting on the support cushion is provided. The support cushion includes pocketed coil layer and a base layer positioned adjacent to and below the pocketed coil layer. The pocketed coil layer including a plurality of fabric types for directing air flow. A fan is operably connected to the inlet hole of the base layer to provide air flow into and through the pocketed coil layer to a body support layer. Methods of controlling air flow through a support cushion are also provided.

Apparatuses, components, devices, methods, and systems for an adjustable firmness mattress are provided. An example rectangular shaped adjustable firmness mattress extends lengthwise from a head end to a foot end, widthwise from a first side to a second side, and depth-wise from a top side to a bottom side. The example mattress may include an adjustable firmness support layer disposed between the bottom side of the mattress and the top side of the mattress. The adjustable firmness support layer may include at least one rotatable assembly having an orientation-specific firmness, a bridge assembly disposed between the at least one rotatable assembly and the top side of the mattress; and a support assembly disposed between the at least one rotatable assembly and the bottom side of the mattress.
