PERSONALIZED PILLOW AND/OR MATTRESS SELECTION
Processes for personalizing a mattress or pillow for a consumer generally includes analyzing data identifying one or more target areas based on surface temperature and/or pressure on a consumer's existing mattress and additively manufacturing a lattice structure to address the one or more target areas so to provide support, pressure point relief, and/or a desired temperature modulation.

FURNITURE CONSTRUCTION WITH ELASTIC OR SPRING MODULES
Furniture is assembled from elastic modules enabling rapid and convenient assembly and disassembly. The elastic module has a spring, an outer covering layer, and an end member attached to an end face of the outer covering layer. A mattress includes a plurality of individual spring assemblies (145), with each spring assembly including at least one spring (134) and a spring cap (144, 150, 161, 164, 171, 184, 194, 204). Each spring cap has at least one first attachment fitting (168, 178, 174, 186, 196) and at least one second attachment fitting (169, 180, 176, 187) with each first attachment fitting engageable into or onto and removable from a second attachment fitting of an adjoining spring cap. The spring assemblies are attached to each other via the first and second attachment fittings, forming the individual spring assemblies into a spring core. A top pad is positioned on top of the spring core.

Foam core for a cushion of a seat part or a reclining part or a back rest of a piece of upholstered furniture or a motor vehicle seat
A foam core (12) for a cushion (8, 9) of a seat part (2) or a reclining part or a back rest (3) of a piece of upholstered furniture (1) or a motor vehicle seat (11) or for a mattress or support surface of a piece of reclining furniture, with a core base (13) of foam material, in particular of cold foam, visco foam, latex foam or molded foam, there being in the core base (13) a plurality of spring strips (14) which run preferably at least essentially parallel to one another. It is provided that at least one spring strip (14) has an in particular pultruded fiber core (20) which has preferably glass fibers, and a mantle (21) of a thermoplastic material, in particular of polypropylene, which surrounds the fiber core (20).

Method for producing a foam body having an internal structure
A method for producing a foam body (10) having an internal structure (100, 200, 300), comprising the steps: I) selecting an internal structure (100, 200, 300) to be formed in the foam body (10), the structure comprising a first polymer material; II) providing a foam body (10), the foam body (10) comprising a second polymer material which is different to the first polymer material; III) injecting, by means of an injection means (20), a predefined amount of a melt of the first polymer material or a predefined amount of a reaction mixture (30, 31, 32) which reacts to form the first polymer material at a predefined location inside the foam body (10), corresponding to a volume element of the internal structure (100, 200, 300); IV) repeating step III) for further predefined locations inside the foam body (10), corresponding to further volume elements of the internal structure (10), until the internal structure (10) is formed. The invention also relates to a foam body (10) which has an internal structure (100, 200, 300) and is obtainable by the method according to the invention.
DEVICE FOR THE DISCHARGE OF URINE
Devices for the discharge of bodily waste, in particular for the soiling-free discharge of bodily waste from a person situated on a bed or a seat. A bed's mattress (2) is provided with a slot (4) that may be opened and closed, and which extends continuously through the thickness of the mattress (2). The slot is controllably openable and closable via an actuated mechanism. Hygienic elimination of bodily waste while lying down or sitting may be achieved with little effort.
MATTRESSES INCLUDING AN ELASTOMERIC CUSHIONING ELEMENT AND A POCKETED COIL LAYER AND RELATED METHODS
A mattress assembly includes a base layer, a coil layer disposed over the base layer, an upper layer disposed over the coil layer, and an elastomeric cushioning element disposed over the upper layer. The coil layer may include a plurality of pocketed coils. Furthermore, the elastomeric cushioning element may have a thickness within a range of about 2.0 inches to about 4.5 inches. Furthermore, the elastomeric cushioning element may form between about 15.0% and about 32.0% of an overall thickness of the mattress assembly. A method of forming a mattress assembly includes disposing a coil layer over a base layer, disposing an upper layer over the coil layer, disposing an elastomeric cushioning element over the upper layer, and disposing an outer covering over at least the upper layer.
