An apparatus includes a venue seat, a liner, and a cover. The venue seat has an outward appearance that is viewable by an observer. The liner has a liner surface on which a liner image is formed on the liner surface. The liner is positioned on the venue seat with the liner image facing outwardly. The liner image changes the outward appearance of the venue seat once the liner is positioned on the venue seat with the liner image facing outwardly. The cover is fixedly positioned on, and covering, the liner image of the liner. The cover protects the liner image of the liner once the cover is positioned on the liner image.

A dual use device adapted to define a furniture component when in a stored state and provide access to a cover for covering a furniture item when in a covering state. The device includes an enclosure with a plurality of enclosure panels, the enclosure panels being connected as to define a shape of the furniture component. The connection between at least some of the enclosure panels is through detachable attachments which permit access to an internal space within the enclosure. A cover for covering a furniture item is foldably received within the internal space when the dual use device is in its stored state and the dual use device serves as a furniture component. The cover adapted to be extracted from the internal space and unfolded to cover the furniture item when the dual use device is in its covering state.

When the two covering elements are closed together, an internal space is formed between the two covering elements, the cover body is foldably received in the internal space, and the dual use device serves as a throw pillow or a bolster pillow. When the two covering elements are opened, the cover body is adapted to be unfolded and cover the furniture.

A dual use device and a furniture module including the dual use device are disclosed. The dual use device is adapted to be used with furniture, and includes two covering elements and a cover body. A multilayer cover designed to protect a surface from pets includes a first layer constructed from a polyester material and a second layer coupled to the first layer. The second layer is fixed relative to the first layer. The first layer includes a first top surface having a natural charge and a hydrophilic finish. The natural charge configured to attract solid debris, and the hydrophilic finish configured to activate when contacted by a liquid in order to release the solid debris. The first layer also includes a first bottom surface positioned opposite to the first top surface. The second layer includes a second top surface disposed facing the first bottom surface. The second top surface includes a hydrophobic laminate. A second bottom surface is disposed opposite of the second top surface. The hydrophobic laminate is configured to block liquid from reaching the second bottom surface.

A cover assembly for a chair includes a chair cover configured to be positioned over at least a portion of a first surface of the chair, and an attachment mechanism configured to couple the chair cover to the chair. The attachment mechanism includes a flexible strip coupled to a perimeter of the chair cover and configured to be arranged on a second surface of the chair, and a tensioning element coupled to the chair cover and including an attachment feature. The attachment feature is configured to be coupled to the chair to create a tensioning force in the chair cover.

A cover assembly for a chair includes a chair cover configured to be positioned over at least a portion of a first surface of the chair, and an attachment mechanism configured to couple the chair cover to the chair. The attachment mechanism includes a flexible strip coupled to a perimeter of the chair cover and configured to be arranged on a second surface of the chair, and a tensioning element coupled to the chair cover and including an attachment feature. The attachment feature is configured to be coupled to the chair to create a tensioning force in the chair cover.

The present disclosure provides for a protective covering, which includes a cover portion, an elongated piece of fabric, a first coupling mechanism, and a weighted fixture. The cover portion is for a seat cushion. The elongated piece of fabric extends from the cover portion. The first coupling mechanism couples the cover portion to a first end of the elongated piece of fabric. The weighted fixture facilitates securing the elongated piece of fabric in place over the cover portion using gravity.

Methods and apparatus for creating furniture protection which may be easily installed and removed are disclosed. The stored furniture protection may be designed to function as decorative items for the furniture such as pillows, bolsters and the like. In some examples, the stored furniture protection may take a form as a pillow and then when unfolded may form a lightweight impermeable cover for the furniture.
