A workplace system comprises a work table, a height-adjustable work chair with a gas spring device, a plurality of sensors, an evaluation unit and a feedback device. At least one of the plurality of sensors is mounted on the worktable. At least one further of the plurality of sensors is mounted on or in the gas spring device and arranged to detect posture data of a user of the work chair. The evaluation unit is configured to receive the posture data and further measurement data from the plurality of sensors, to determine a well-being measure of the user on the basis of a joint evaluation of the received posture data and the measurement data, and to control the feedback device as a function of the well-being measure.

SURGICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM HAVING ANTHROPOMETRY-BASED USER CONSOLE

Surgical robotic systems including a user console for controlling a robotic arm or a surgical robotic tool are described. The user console includes components designed to automatically adapt to anthropometric characteristics of a user. A processor of the surgical robotic system is configured to receive anthropometric inputs corresponding to the anthropometric characteristics and to generate an initial console configuration of the user console based on the inputs using a machine learning model. Actuators automatically adjust a seat, a display, or one or more pedals of the user console to the initial console configuration. The initial console configuration establishes a comfortable relative position between the user and the console components. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Mechanical assembly for a chair and chair with such a mechanical assembly

The invention relates to a mechanical assembly (2), said mechanical assembly (2) comprising, in addition to a leaf spring, at least one further spring element, the elastic restoring force of the at least one further spring element and the elastic restoring force of the one or more leaf springs supporting the seat shell (S) with a total restoring force, and/or the mechanical assembly (2) comprising at least two leaf springs and at least two supports, each support being associated with one of the leaf springs, and at least two supports being displaceable beneath the leaf springs by means of an adjustment mechanism and being displaceable on their trajectories by different extents.

Active chair with posture feedback

An active chair system incorporates a tilt sensor to detect and measure the tilt of the seat above a pivot point and displays data about that tilt to the user to enable posture corrections to address subtle posture issues that a user might not otherwise recognize.

SMART WORKSTATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

A system and method establishing control of affordances at a workstation. The method includes the steps of storing affordance preferences in a database for a plurality of portable affordance settings that may be present at a workstation, detecting a subset of affordances present within a first zone associated with the workstation, for each detected affordance in the subset, identifying an affordance setting in the database indicating a user preference, and automatically controlling settings of at least each of the detected affordances in the subset to match the user preferences for the detected affordances.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING POSITION OF SEAT IN VEHICLE
20190389330 · 2019-12-26 ·

Methods and devices for adjusting the position of a seat in a vehicle are described herein. The methods include obtaining pressure values output by a plurality of sub-sensors; calculating a mean square value and an average value of the pressure values output by the sub-sensors; judging whether a ratio of the mean square value to the average value is greater than a preset value; obtaining pressure values output by a front pressure sensor, a rear pressure sensor, a left pressure sensor and a right pressure sensor when the ratio of the mean square value to the average value is greater than the preset value; adjusting fore-and-aft positions of the seat according to the pressure values output by the front pressure sensor and the rear pressure sensor; and adjusting lateral positions of the seat according to the pressure values output by the left pressure sensor and the right pressure sensor.

SEATING DETECTION DEVICE AND SEATING MONITORING SYSTEM
20240090679 · 2024-03-21 · ·

A seating detection device includes a sensor, a coupler, a power supply, a switch, and a controller. The sensor forms an electric field to detect a change in an electrostatic capacitance. The coupler couples the sensor to a chair. The power supply supplies power for forming the electric field to the sensor. The switch controls transmission of power from the power supply to the sensor. After the switch is turned on, the controller sets a seating threshold based on the change in electrostatic capacitance detected by the sensor. The seating threshold represents a threshold amount of electrostatic capacitance. The controller determines whether an occupant is seated on the chair based on the seating threshold.

BED SYSTEM FOR ADJUSTING A SLEEP ENVIRONMENT BASED ON MICROCLIMATE TEMPERATURE AND SLEEP QUALITY OPTIMIZATION

The disclosed technology provides for improving sleep quality of a user by adjusting a sleep environment. A bed system can include, for example, a controller that can retrieve, from a data repository, data for a set of past sleep sessions of a user, identify, based on the data, a past sleep session in the set of past sleep sessions that satisfies sleep quality criteria, determine thermal settings for the bed system based on the data associated with the identified past sleep session of the user, and apply the thermal settings to the bed system for execution during at least one subsequent sleep session of the user.
