FLEXIBLE PRESSURE-SENSING PAD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present invention relates to a flexible pressure-sensing pad and manufacturing method thereof. The flexible pressure-sensing pad includes a first fabric substrate layer, a second fabric substrate layer, and a fabric barrier layer provided between the first fabric substrate layer and the second fabric substrate layer. The first fabric substrate layer includes a first electrode and the second fabric substrate layer includes a second electrode. The fabric barrier layer has multiple through holes. The first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected with a controller. Compared with the current pressure-sensing pad, the present invention is thinner and more flexible, has superior breathability and waterproofness, does not generate an irritating noise, creates a quiet recuperative environment for patients and can sense an external force over the entire pressure sensing pad without any blind spots, thereby providing better user experience.
Custom controlled seating surface technologies
A system of controlling various actuators associated with human support surfaces is disclosed. Such a system is made up of a support surface, a controller, and an actuator. The system may optionally include batteries, a means of charging the batteries, and a graphical user interface as well as a communication link between the graphical user interface and the support surfaces. The actuators are capable of altering contour and/or firmness, of a support surface, they may be vibrational or heating/cooling in nature, and they may also alter the overall relative position of a support surface to another support surface, and/or to the ground plane.

APPARATUS WITH WEIGHT RESPONSIVE CHANGEABLE ADJUSTING CHARACTERISTICS
A reconfigurable apparatus for seating a user and having: a frame; a seat movable relative to the frame between: a) a first position in which the seat resides with no user sitting on the seat; and b) a loaded position; a back rest with a changeable angular orientation relative to the frame; and an adjusting assembly having a plurality of gears that move relative to each other as an incident of the seat moving from the first position into the loaded position to thereby cause an increase in resistance to changing of the angular orientation of the back rest.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE SEAT WITH ELECTRIC SEAT ADJUSTMENT
A method for operating a vehicle seat of a motor vehicle with electric seat adjustment is provided. The method includes the steps of importing a measurement data set that is representative of an initial sitting position of a person sitting on the vehicle seat, evaluating the measurement data set in order to determine a target sitting position data set for a target sitting position, and evaluating at least the measurement data set and the target sitting position data set in order to determine a transfer data set for transferring the initial sitting position into the target sitting position at a rate of change below a perception threshold.
SEATING PAD WITH WOVEN COVER
A seat assembly includes a seat with a hip/thigh support, a back support and at least one gap between the hip/thigh support and the back support. A seating pad assembly is positioned removably on the seat and has a foam cushion made at least partly of a viscoelastic foam and having a dimensionally stable woven fabric cover. Pelvic and upper back areas of a person sitting on the seat deform the viscoelastic foam significantly to provide a comfortable support and to define anchors for the seating pad assembly. The outer cover extends between those anchors for effectively supporting and cradling the lumbar back area of the person in the seat.
System architecture for office productivity structure communications
A furniture system includes a chair having a seat, a backrest coupled to the seat, and a base supporting the backrest and the seat. The furniture system also includes a plurality of sensors and a processor. Each sensor is operable to detect a physical force imparted by a user on the chair, and generate an output signal indicative of the physical force. The processor is coupled to the plurality of sensors, and is operable to receive the output signals generated by the plurality of sensors, and determine, based on at least one of the output signals, a current posture of the user sitting in the chair.
Seat cushion
A seat cushion according to the present invention is configured as a fluid or gas containing bag. When weight of buttocks are transferred back and forth in left, right, front, rear directions, the fluid or gas contained therein will be transferred back and forth. The level of the fluid or gas contained in the seat cushion is defined by the manufacturer which is 5-40 millimeters. The fluid or gas is detained inside in use. The seat cushion can be laid on cushion of different seats and on the floor.
ADJUSTABLE CHAIR AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS, METHODS, DEVICES, AND SOFTWARE
A method of controlling an adjustable chair comprising the steps of measuring the height of a person, entering the height of the person into a software application on a mobile device, taking a photograph of the person with a mobile device, analyzing the photograph to determine physical measurements of the person, storing the measurements in the mobile device; calculating optimum ergonomic adjustment of the chair based upon the stored measurements; and, transmitting signals to a controller in the chair to control actuators and adjust various components in the chair to achieve optimum ergonomic adjustment. The technology also includes the ergonomic task chair adjusted by the aforementioned method.
Furniture system
The invention relates to a furniture system, consisting of a height-adjustable chair and a height-adjustable table. According to the invention, the chair and the table can be height-adjusted synchronously by means of a common control device, wherein the height adjustment of the table and the height adjustment of the chair are synchronized with each other in such a way that, at different heights, an ideal distance between the tabletop and the seat surface of the chair is always maintained.
