A baby crib includes a crib body, the crib body includes: a crib frame formed by a plurality of rods; a soft goods made of a soft material and fixed on the crib frame; and a crib accommodating space enclosed by the crib frame and the soft goods. An entire upper rod or a portion of the upper rod on one of sides of the crib frame is adjustable in height in a vertical direction between upper and lower ends of the crib frame. The crib frame is provided with a tightening mechanism. When the upper rod is adjusted in height and drives the upper rod soft goods to move, the tightening mechanism is capable of being contracted or stretched correspondingly to provide a tightening force to the upper rod soft goods.

An easy-access bassinet especially useful for new mothers and babies, either in hospitals or at home. The bassinet has a barrier to prevent the infant from rolling off a sleeping platform, and one wall of the barrier is convertible to permit a mother to reach in and cradle the infant, for breast-feeding for example. The convertible wall may have a restoring mechanism to transform it back to its original barrier position upon removal of the weight of the mother's arms, or may be detachable. The convertible wall may be rigid adjacent the sleeping platform that lowers or pivots out of the way, or a mesh or fabric panel that may be depressed downward. A partial barrier wall may also be provided just inside the convertible front wall for extra security. The mesh or fabric panel is easily detached for cleaning or replacement.

An easy-access bassinet especially useful for new mothers and babies, either in hospitals or at home. The frame is positioned to support the mattress in a crib configuration, a playpen configuration and a bed configuration. The first railings are selectively positionable for the crib configuration, the playpen configuration and the bed configuration.

A convertible furniture assembly for selective use as a crib, bed and play pen includes a pair of end boards. Each of a pair of first railings is coupled to an opposing side edge of each end board. The end boards and the first railings are right angularly positioned. A frame is reversibly couplable to and extends between the end boards. The frame extends between the first railings. A bed rail having a guard frame that prevents a child from rolling off a bed and a pair of legs that extend between the mattress and box spring. The guard frame swings between up and down positions and is pivotally connected to the legs via a first junction. A second junction locks the guard frame to the legs. The second junction includes a rotatable seat that engages a pin extending from the guard frame. The bed rail further includes a strap that engages a proximal end of a leg, a distal end of the leg, and an anchor, which engages the side of the bed opposite of the bed rail.

A bed rail having a guard frame that prevents a child from rolling off a bed and a pair of legs that extend between the mattress and box spring. The guard frame swings between up and down positions and is pivotally connected to the legs via a first junction. A second junction locks the guard frame to the legs. The second junction includes a rotatable seat that engages a pin extending from the guard frame. The safety feature is provided for a bed to limit egress from the bed. The bed includes a mattress platform and guard rail. The guard rail comprises an end and side rails. The safety feature comprises a beam and at least one element freely moving in relation to the beam. The movement of this element makes it impossible to firmly grasp the beam.

A crib to be placed adjacent to a parents' bed comprises an enclosure supported by an upper frame and a lower frame. The upper frame comprises a fixed portion and a movable portion at an openable side of the enclosure. In a closed configuration, the ends of the movable portion are locked with respect to the ends of the fixed portion to close the openable side, and in an open configuration the movable portion is spaced apart from the ends of the fixed portion to open the openable side. Two guides extend from the fixed portion of the upper frame toward the lower frame, and the ends of movable portion are able to slide along the guides to move from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

A crib to be placed adjacent to a parents' bed comprises an enclosure supported by an upper frame and a lower frame. The upper frame comprises a fixed portion and a movable portion at an openable side of the enclosure. In a closed configuration, the ends of the movable portion are locked with respect to the ends of the fixed portion to close the openable side, and in an open configuration the movable portion is spaced apart from the ends of the fixed portion to open the openable side. Two guides extend from the fixed portion of the upper frame toward the lower frame, and the ends of movable portion are able to slide along the guides to move from the closed configuration to the open configuration.
