Dynamic furniture featuring pendulum-like motion
A dynamic furniture system includes a first frame portion; a set of rollers mounted to the first frame portion; a second frame portion including one or more rockers having a roller-interface surface having a curved profile; wherein the set of rollers interface with the roller-interface surface of the rockers such that the second frame portion is moveable relative to the first frame portion; a set of one or more electromagnets mounted to or integrated with the first frame portion or the second frame portion; a set of one or more magnetically-interactive elements mounted to or integrated with a different one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion; and an electronic control system configured to vary a parameter of electrical energy supplied to the set of electromagnets over time to induce back and forth motion of one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion.
Portable rocker for newborn baby or infant
A rocker for supporting an infant or other item includes a carrier assembly and a support assembly. The carrier assembly has a support platform. The support assembly is disposed below the carrier assembly is operable to selectively impart motion to the carrier assembly in a plurality of different motion patterns. The motion patterns can include one or more of translation along a first linear direction, translation along a second linear direction perpendicular to the first linear direction, yaw relative to a first axis, pitch relative to a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, roll about a third axis that is perpendicular to the first and second axes, and elevation changes relative to the support assembly.
INFANT CALMING/SLEEP-AID DEVICE
An infant calming/sleep-aid device that includes a moving platform and a sound generator, the sound and motion adapted to calm a fussy baby, induce sleep, and maintain sleep under normal conditions. The device makes a determination as to whether sound signals represent sound coming from inside the device or outside the device. If the sound signals are coming from the inside the device, then the signals are evaluated in a specified frequency band to determine whether the sound is a baby cry. If a determination is made that there is a baby cry, then a threshold analysis is performed to quantify the cry and compare it to a threshold value. If the cry is above a specified threshold, the device moves the platform and/or generates sound.
Baby rocking device adapted to impart a cyclic reciprocating rocking movement to a perambulator, push-chair or the like
A baby rocking device, adapted to impart a reciprocating cycling rocking movement to a perambulator, push-chair or the like, comprising a single roller, having an electric motor arranged inside the roller, the roller configured for rolling on a floor. The roller includes an inner non-rotating core having two ends portions projecting from opposite ends of the roller and connected to two receiving and supporting members configured for receiving two respective wheels of the perambulator or push-chair, so that the perambulator or push-chair is placed astride the single roller, and a cylindrical outer shell for contact with the floor, which is rotatably mounted on the inner core. The electric motor is carried by the inner core and is provided for actuating the rotation of the outer shell alternately in two opposite directions of rotation, so as to cause rolling of the single roller on the floor alternately in two opposite directions.
INTRAUTERINE ENVIRONMENT SIMULATION SYSTEM
An intrauterine simulation system comprising a motion-control system and/or a maternal heartbeat simulator. The motion-control system may be configured to move a platform supporting an infant in a pattern characteristic of the movement of a woman in a late stage of pregnancy, thereby simulating movement experienced by a fetus in the intrauterine environment. The sound and vibration may be customized to the mother's biometric data to more closely simulate the infant's experience in the womb. The platform supporting the infant may be incorporated into a bassinet, cradle, mattress, and/or other suitable device. A system controller may be configured to gradually reduce aspects of the simulation, such as the intensity of the sound waves and/or vibrations or extent of the movement, thereby transitioning an infant to the extrauterine environment.
Stroller system
A stroller is disclosed. The stroller includes a support frame supported by at least two wheels. The stroller also includes a seat carrier support selectively, removably coupled to the support frame. A swing motor is operatively coupled to the seat carrier support. A seat swing mechanism extends downwardly from the swing motor. The seat swing mechanism has a seat yoke configured to receive and retain an infant seat. The seat swing mechanism is configured to swing the infant seat forwards and backwards when the swing motor is activated.
Crib
An improved crib is disclosed herein. The crib of the present disclosure has numerous benefits over the prior art, wherein one of the benefits is that children placed within the crib may not feel like they are trapped within a cage. In general, the crib disclosed has screens on all four sides of the crib. The screens at least comprise visual display surfaces on the faces of the screens directed toward the inside of the crib, wherein the mattress and child are located. The visual display surfaces may be operable to display calming scenery or educational content for the child in the crib. Many more embodiments are disclosed herein that are within the scope of this inventive concept.
SWING APPARATUS WITH MAGNETIC DRIVE AND CONTROL
A swing apparatus includes an arm assembly including a seat, and a frame assembly coupled to the arm assembly. The frame assembly defines a pivot axis about which the arm assembly rotates during operation of the swing apparatus. The swing apparatus also includes an electromagnet disposed on the frame assembly, and a plurality of permanent magnets disposed on the arm assembly and positioned to define an arc centered on the pivot axis. The electromagnet has an angular offset about the pivot axis relative to the plurality of permanent magnets positioned along the arc when the swing apparatus is in a neutral position.
Baby sleeping apparatus
This new baby bed allows parents to easily access baby from the bed with almost 3 sides being available to access baby from. Also, while a baby is sleeping in the bed, the bed should be secured so the baby cannot crawl out of it, and so forth. In addition, a bed must be able to secure a baby in a convenient way while allowing sufficient movement for the baby.
Rocking Chair for Children
A rocking chair for children, comprising a seat body, a supporting frame and a seat body limiting mechanism, a driving motor, a driving motor power output part and a rotating shaft; one end of the rotating shaft is fixedly connected to the driving motor power output part, and the seat body pivots around the other end of the rotating shaft; when the rotating shaft rotates, the pivot point between the other end of the rotating shaft and the seat body moves relative to a fixed connection point between one end of the rotating shaft and the driving motor power output part at a certain distance; and the seat body limiting mechanism can limit the included angle between the seat body and the rotating shaft to be kept within a set angle when the driving motor drives the rotating shaft for forward and reverse rotation in a reciprocating mode.
