A breathable toy may be made for people or animals. The toy may include a breathable mesh fabric integrated as part of a multi-layer fabric structure. The breathable mesh fabric increases air flow during rest or other activities with the breathable toy. The toy may include ornamental or aesthetic additions without interfering with the breathable mesh fabric. Attachments to the toys may also include the breathable mesh fabric.

An apparatus and method for making same utilizing a breathable mesh material having a reduced suffocation resistance level for infant and toddler use. The breathable mesh material includes an inner and outer fabric that includes larger openings on the front substructure than on the back substructure and a pile substructure is integrated and extends between the front and back substructures allowing air to substantially move effectively therethrough.

An improved baby carrier is disclosed that includes a support frame coupled to a seating assembly though a suspension mechanism to provide weight support for a baby or toddler. The baby carrier includes an attachment harness worn by an adult to provide non-slip coupling between the baby carrier and the adult. The baby carrier also includes a semi-rigid coupling between the seat and harness assembly, a seat height adjustment capability, a sturdy support frame configuration, and a braking system. A front end of the waist member is connected with a lower portion of the support sheet. An upper portion of a front end of each shoulder strap is connected with an upper portion of the support sheet. The device allows the infants to be held face-inward or face-outward in the case of vertical orientation and prone or supine in the case of horizontal orientation.

A child carrier having a waist belt, an upper torso support, a hammock coupled to the waist belt and to the upper torso support, and a thigh support strap extending to each side of the hammock. Each thigh support strap has an inward end portion proximate to the hammock and an outward end portion configured for selective coupling to the upper torso support in multiple positions. When the thigh support straps are coupled to the upper torso support, the hammock and the thigh support straps form a seat to support a child in an ergonomic spread-squat position in inward and outward facing orientations. The thigh supports cooperate with a seat center portion to form an adjustable bucket seat configurable in a plurality of bucket seat configurations adapted to ergonomically support a child in a corresponding size range in a spread squat position. The upper end portions of the thigh supports can be selectively coupled to the side attachment tabs at multiple mid-section width setting locations and the lower end portions of the thigh supports can be selectively coupled to the waist belt at multiple base width setting locations. The thigh supports are adjustable to set a mid-section width of the adjustable child carrier and a base width of the adjustable bucket seat.
