MICROBIAL PRODUCTION OF CHEMICAL PRODUCTS AND RELATED COMPOSITIONS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Metabolically engineered microorganism strains are disclosed, such as bacterial strains, in which there is an increased utilization of malonyl-CoA for production of a chemical product. Such chemical products include polyketides, 3-hydroxypropionic acid, and various other chemical products described herein. Methods of production also may be applied to further downstream products, such as consumer products. In various embodiments, modifications to a microorganism and/or culture system divert, at least transiently, usage of malonyl-coA from the fatty acid biosynthesis pathway and thereby provides for usage of the malonyl-coA for a chemical product other than a fatty acid. In various embodiments, the fatty acid biosynthesis pathway is modulated to produce specific fatty acids or combinations of fatty acids.

Useful Microorganism and Method for Producing Substance of Interest
It is an object of the present invention to provide a bacterial strain that can decrease the amount of an intermediate Compound P converted into Metabolite M and efficiently accumulate Compound P in a medium that is not supplemented with Metabolite M or the final product generated from Metabolite M. The present invention provides a prokaryotic organism having all features (a) to (d) as defined in the specification so as to accumulate Compound P by regulating expression level of Enzyme X that converts Compound P as an intermediate metabolite into Metabolite M in a biosynthetic pathway in which Metabolite M indispensable for the growth is produced from a carbon source.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING L-AMINO ACID
A method for producing an L-amino acid such as L-glutamic acid is provided. An L-amino acid is produced by culturing a bacterium having an ability to produce an L-amino acid, which has been modified so that the activity of a non-PTS fructose-uptake carrier and the activity of fructokinase are both increased, in a medium containing fructose, and collecting the L-amino acid from the medium or cells of the bacterium.

RECOMBINANT STRAIN WITH MODIFIED GENE BBD29_04920 FOR PRODUCING L-GLUTAMIC ACID, AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a method for introducing a point mutation to a BBD29_04920 gene coding sequence in Corynebacterium or improving the expression thereof. The point mutation causes a mutation to the base at position 1560 in the BBD29_04920 gene sequence from cytosine (C) to adenine (A) such that asparagine at position 520 of a coded corresponding amino acid sequence is substituted by lysine. The method can increase fermentation yield of glutamic acid in a strain with the mutation. Also provided are the bacterium generating L-glutamic acid, a nucleic acid and protein comprising the mutation, a recombinant vector and recombinant strain comprising the nucleic acid, and use of these biomaterials in the regulation of the production of L-glutamic acid of a microorganism.
