A convertible mat that can transition from a first use position to a second use position. The convertible mat has a housing a housing having a first section, a second section, and a hinge therebetween. The first section has a first cavity with a first opening opposite the hinge, and the second section has a second cavity with a second opening opposite the hinge. A first insert panel is inserted into the first cavity through the first opening, and a second insert panel is inserted into the second cavity through the second opening. Closure members are provided at each opening to retain the insert panels therein. A connector is used to removably secure the first section to the second section to form an acute angle therebetween in the second use position.

A bed configured to contain a subject, such as a human infant is disclosed. The bed includes a womb-shaped bumper capable of constricting or squeezing the subject. The bumper is adjustable between a constricting configuration and a non-constricting configuration. An adjustment mechanism, and optionally, a fastener may be used to maintain the bumper in the constricting configuration.

The cushioned choke-safe play mat is an apparatus that provides a safe and comfortable area for the playing of young children or infants. The cushioned choke-safe play mate includes an enclosing cover, a cushioning layer, and a plurality of toys. The enclosing cover surrounds the cushioning layer, and the plurality of toys is fixed along the exterior of the enclosing cover. The enclosing cover includes an upper layer and a lower layer. The upper layer and the lower layer are perimetrically connected to each other. This engagement between the upper layer and the lower layer encloses around the cushioning layer. More specifically, the lower layer is beneath the cushioning layer and the upper layer is above the cushioning layer. A portable changing table is disclosed. The portable changing table comprises a flexible support material and a support pocket disposed within the flexible support material. A rigid planar material is disposed within the support pocket and rigidly supports the flexible support material. An extension extends from the flexible support material and forms a securing envelope configured to attach to a child safety seat or a child stroller. Securing straps attach to the flexible support material and are configured to attach the flexible support material to a child safety seat or a child stroller. The securing straps and securing envelope provide tension across the flexible support material to provide a rigidly supported substantially horizontal surface where a caregiver can change a diaper or clothes of the infant or small child.

A portable changing table is disclosed. The portable changing table comprises a flexible support material and a support pocket disposed within the flexible support material. A support surface assembly comprising four corner elements; at least four elongated rigid frame sections; a first air permeable layer suspended between the at least four elongated rigid frame sections; and a second air permeable layer suspended between the at least four elongated rigid frame sections; wherein the four corner elements include at least one lock element, the lock element having a first position that engages at least one elongated frame section and prevents relative movement between the four elongated rigid frame sections; the lock element having a second position that permits relative movement between the four elongated rigid frame sections.

An infant towel drying mat that is intended to provide a convenient and effective apparatus to aid in the drying of a human infant or a pet animal. A drying mat has a first section, a second section, and a section hinge, wherein the first section and the second hinge are adjacently connected to the section hinge; the section hinge being positioned in between the first section and the second section and allows for multiple configurations of the infant towel drying mat. A plurality of connection tabs is adjacently connected to the drying mat and perimetrically positioned around the drying mat. Each of the plurality of connection tabs includes a protrusion connected to the drying mat, a surface fastener to be secured to a surface, and a press towel holder for mounting a towel. The surface fastener and the press towel holder are positioned opposite each other about the protrusion.

A Baby Monitoring Mat is provided having a top mesh layer, a bottom mesh layer, two flexible sheets, and an optical cable. The optical cable can be routed between the top mesh layer and the bottom mesh layer. The flexible sheets are also between the top mesh layer and the bottom mesh layer forming a sensing area. A light source is provided for feeding light from one side of the optical cable to a photodiode for detecting light attenuation at the other end of the optical cable. A processor receives signals from the light source and photodiode and the signals are processed to determine movements and breath counts. The signals are generated based on the light attenuation changes along the optical fiber cable detected by photodiode. A method for monitoring baby on a mat is also provided.
